I do believe that it is 5 years we have to wait until another Dive Coaster..
So that being said, I would like to say this....
The footers at CP that are being built as we speak are very HUGE, so huge that they are twice the size of a normal footer for a Flyer/Dueling..
The Footers for Tatsu are half as big as the ones up at CP...This leaves only 2 coasters that CP is going to build for the big grand Finale for Kinzel...
1:4D
2:Something NO ONE has heard of seen, which I don't see them doing...NOT ENOUGH ROOM etc... for this type of Ride..
THE WINNER:4D

I mean really, how could y'all not see the obvious. They have a Three year/Three in a row contract with Huss/S&S/B&M for swing rides.
Wait and see for yourself. I KNOW that I am right and you ALL are very, VERY wrong. I'll be laughing at all of you when the new ride is announced. ;)
I don't follow footers that closesly tbh, so how do the new footers compare to a truely giant ride? How do the new footers compare to MF, TTD, and KK?

Floorless B&M it probably won't be due to it taking away steam from Geauga Lake.
Intamin anything it probably won't be due to a somewhat sour relationship from TTD (although not completely bitter).
Traditional B&M Sit-Down looper? Why-not? Cedar Point only has Corkscrew for a sit-down looper, and if they built a much larger, twisty sit-down looper (aka: Hulkx2), they could have a winner.
Dive Machine B&M. I say it's bull-malarky that Busch has a so-called "contract" to restrict any other park to build one.
Wooden by Intamin: Again, somewhat sour relationship & the footprint takes up a lot, so this may be out
Wooden by GCI or Gravity Group: I don't think the footers match what would be for a wooden coaster, so I still say it's out... for now.
Arrow 4D: It's possible, but certainly not by the "logic" that Dragstermania gives. If anything, then I go completely against that "logic"
Vekoma Flying Dutchman: I sure wish someone else would build another one... but I don't think CP's going to stoop that low, especially since Geauga Lake already has one.
Unless there's a new concept out there... that's really all your choices are. I think the launched coasters are done for now at CP, and personally feel it's still going to be a flyer even though Geauga Lake already has a Vekoma one (which is still an almost different experience altogether).
Personally... I'd like to see something 500' at Cedar Point, but I'd really like to see it in the form of a new sky-tower (air-conditioned, please).
Besides, with Williamsburg getting the next diver (yes thats the latest rumor from BG)...does that mean everyone needs to wait ANOTHER 5 years?

As for teasing us early...I seem to recall the teasing beginning early for Wicked Twister, and I recall how many people were extremely disappointed at all the hype once it was announced.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
...I don't think that a flat ride or water-ride would be starting this early (14+ months before opening day).
One thing I *would* add, though, is the possibility that the ride is not going to be confined to the site that has already been cleared. We could be looking at something that runs towards the rapids ride, behind Mean Streak, into Mean Streak's infield, or even across the midway on to MF's island, which still has a good amount of real esate. This is all still assuming we're looking at a major, non-family oriented coaster here, which I'm not 100% convinced of yet.
Not saying this will happen, or even likely to happen, just that if this is going to be a multi-ride installation or not, we could be looking at rides going far beyond WWL's former site.

ps - yes, that was sarcasm.

This whole notion of a contract like this is hopefully the dumbest thing I will hear all day.
My thoughts exactly. Does anyone remember the whole "SFoG won't get a B&M Flyer because Alton Towers has a contract on it for 2 years"?... and then S:UF opened like 14 days later.
Check the Sandusky Register Newspaper for more info on that..
The person who was quoted in that article unfortunately added to something that is quickly reaching urban legend status.

Anyway, do you think he'll go out with a bang the way Eisner did (not to compare apples and pineapples)?

Until then, all of us will have to wait until NOV. to find out what it is there getting.....
