Cedar Point today announced on Twitter that Top Thrill Dragster is being retired, but they're hard at work creating a "reimagined" ride experience.

The ride has been closed since August 2021, when a metal plate detached from the ride and struck a guest in the head, according to a state investigation.
Every time I rode TTD I always got the sensation of an aircraft carrier/jet. That rocket start and then pulling up into the sun like liftoff.
"Drive The Sky" is a throwback line for old farts like me who remember 30 years ago when Raptor gave us the opportunity to "Kick The Sky".
Yes, that was 30 years ago.

I thought Raptor "Rules the Sky".
"You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality." -Walt Disney
“Rules the Sky” was the official tag line, “Kick the Sky” was used on billboards and other miscellaneous advertising.

Dual headliner with Republica and The Red Rocker to open the ride.
With Dick Kinzel on drums.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
If there's one thing to be said about CP architecture, "timeless" isn't it. Raptor screams 90s, Gemini screams 70s...
CP is very popular because of rides but a lot of the park feels very outdated because of the buildings. Including what are probably the nastiest bathrooms I have seen in the industry after Knoebels.
I personally love the coaster station architecture from the various decades. For anyone of a certain age it is an emotional/memory connection to the days when the park debuted these, at the time, amazing rides. I’ve stood in 1.5-2 hour lines with my family for both Corkscrew and Gemini in the 70’s; Corkscrew’s would start literally under the corkscrews and Gemini would start down by the Monster.
at least everybody has a story with a queue line. Once, while I waited in line for steel vengeance, the ride shut down temporarily, so while we waited, a person at the front of the line started to get everybody down the queue to do the wave. That is one of my happier memories.
