I read somewhere that when CP had Intamin do this ride they wanted double seating for capacity reasons. This made the car heaver and wider. Thus, it did not bank on the turns as well as other Intamin Bobs.Thus by enclosing it, one would not see the turn as well (i.e. distracted by darkness and a theme)

La Vibora is a pretty fun ride. Nothing amazing though.

So now CP has posted Gee, see eye!! after posting Aquatrax (Intamin) a couple days ago. What's next?

Have to disagree with 8.3 on Vibora - I thought it was amazingly fun. Shame it always seems to have a decent line, because that's something I could ride over and over again. (Then again, being in the same park as a Freeze, TGiant, Runaway Mountain, and Shockwave kinda prevents me from becoming too preoccupied, but Vibora to me is the best (steel) ;) bobsled coaster in the US).

Any ACE members here? I hear a recent ACE News mentioned an Intamin Flume. "Gee, See Eye" can be translated as "Gee, See I"...I as in Intamin. That would also tie in to their earlier Aquatrax joke.

^No. They are just messing with us. Gee, See Eye is obviously for GCI.

Considering the recent history with GCIs in CF, I'm foreseeing something more along the lines of a racer/dueler (in the fashion of Xcel begetting TTD).

Of course, my "underground project" involves racing Aquatraxes themed to the Peanuts' Summer Camp canoe race... :)

While I would love for Cedar Point to get a GCI I'd rather it be built along the water like the aforementioned Travel Cyclone.

Question: did they save the boats from Whitewater Landing or were they trashed along with the rest of the ride?

They were trashed, but some of them were sold.

About the B&M track, what kind of B&M get? The yellow track was too small to be a Dive coasters, so that either leaves a floorless or a sit down, but I thought the era of floorless coasters is over? Maybe it isnt because of the sucess that Dominator has had at KD?

From the sound of things, we may have to wait until 2012 to find out... ;)

^^That is just assuming that the yellow B&M track that was at the plant in Ohio is heading to CP. Seeing how CP has everything that B&M has to offer:

Magnum XL 200= B&M Mega coaster

Raptor=Inverted

Mantis=Standup

Maverick/Corkscrew=Sitdown Looper

And the size of the track most likely being to small for a dive machine or flying coaster, I assume it was probably for a floorless coaster. Basically after all of this ranting the yellow track most likely isnt going to Cp but if it was that would be my only guess as to what it could be.
