Okay, it's gonna be something involving electricty. Plus, it's garunteed to be "shocking." :)
Oh, you'll have to be at least 21 to ride.

Something with two launches? I swear if this thing is red I am going to scream. Ha ha.
After visiting the Intamin site at lunchtime, I'm thinking the backward flume now. Wouldn't tick me off.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
I doubt it. The last time CP installed a Verkoma was '99 when Woodstock Express went in.

What does that have to do with anything?
When was the last time CP installed an Intamin before MF was built? (Just to save you time, it was 15 years.)

Just got registered been reading some of the posts, and I seriously think they are going to do a larger rennovation on snake river falls. They threw a clue out there, its 17th bday and it hasn't asked for much. So they will keep the drop and bridge, but I think it will extend on to the island, theme the area with this "whyte ligthing hillbilly stuff". I would say Intamin would do something like their super splash. I keep thinking it could be something like the Jurassic Park ride at Universal although not so much theme and details. It'll have some dark ride type parts. 2011 I think having another dark ride will give them just another reason to get rid of DT and add a wooden coaster in its place. I'm just going out on a limb and guessing.

Nope. I'm not where the nightlife is in Cabo San Lucas, I'm in San Jose del Cabo (about 30 mins north) at a very nice resort.
Hillbilly stuff?!?!?! I beg yer pardun?!?! This heer is Ohioer, we is some sereously sofistikated fawlk heer!
Now were is mi Whyte Lightning drink?! Shoot, I sur wish it kame in a fruit shapped bottel wit a krazy straw ; )~
Just to keep up with where we're at right now since they're slowly eliminating coaster company after coaster company (for those of us who believe it will be a coaster), which ones remain? I count Intamin, Arrow, and Vekoma. Which other ones are still out there?

My fault Dan. I've been away from the coaster world for a little while now and I didn't realize they were done. I knew they were in trouble when X was originally being built, but I didn't know that they were completely gone. I saw that X got renovated to X2 so I figured that they might have somehow found a way to hang on. Thanks for clearing that up though.
But are there any others besides Intamin and Vekoma then?

Haha, no problem...I just didn't want you to be disappointed when they don't announce a new Arrow coaster. ;)
S&S bought them out after their (2nd?) bankruptcy, and that's who is responsible for the X2 renovations.

Gotcha. I'm going to have to recondition myself again to get back up to speed like I used to be. It's amazing how much and how quickly things change when you're gone! Thanks again!
...and I've always been an Intamin sucker. So I wouldn't have been too heartbroken if they didn't announce an Arrow if they were still around haha.

I have to wonder if Dick keeps getting discounts on new Intamin products for all the screw-ups from previous projects...hhhmmmmm????? Kind of like "cash-for-clunkers" LOL
I wonder if Sandor has incriminating photos of Kinzel somewhere. Fiasco after fiasco and CP keeps saying, "Please, may I have another?"
Has anyone mentioned Premier yet?

As of today, if you tally up everything between their blog, Twitter, and Facebook, Cedar Point has now very explicitly ruled out:
- an Intamin Aquatrax
- S&S (which of course includes Arrow)
- B&M
- Gravity Group
- GCI
- Mack
- Gerstlauer
- Togo (are they even still in business, other than Premier doing their maintenance/parts biz?)
They have not (yet?) ruled out Intamin altogether... or Vekoma, Premier, Chance-Morgan, etc. They haven't specifically said it's even a coaster, unless I missed something... just that it has wheels and restraints. Even a Sally dark ride would fit that description.
That pretty much means no wood, unless it's an Intamin prefab.
It's because, glitches and breakdowns aside, people absolutely EAT UP the Intamin rides.
Honestly, everything they've built in the past few years from them (save for Wicked Twister, really), has been a crowd favorite. Not to mention, they will always push the envelope when asked.
In all seriousness, I can't think of a ride CP has built in the last 20 years, that hasn't had its share of big problems. I've heard it said from average park goers, that "it's not a new ride at Cedar Point unless it's always breaking down".
"When was the last time CP installed an Intamin before MF was built? (Just to save you time, it was 15 years.)"
I believe that Intiman is responsable for jr gemini, demon drop, Thunder canyon, disaster transport and I believe they also did sir rub a dub and a few other smaller rides.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
