Regarding the whole "you won't get wet" claim. There used to be a sign in SFMM Raging Rapid's queue that read, "You won't get wet on this ride...you'll get drenched."
Just something to think about....
I'll second the notion that CP has done some very nice little subtle theming touches which, for me, go a long way. The music and lights in MF's station, the strobes on Raptor's cobra rolls, TDD's dragster-y stuff. Ok so a lot of it is less like theming and more like "effects" maybe but just a little touch here and there can make the total experience that much better for me. A little attention to detail can be just as nice as a full-blown storyline and animatronics and whatever else.

B&M better come up with something new and AMAZING soon or we will never see any more of their products in the park : (
I don't think you understand the business. Sure looks like B&M is getting all the business they need to me. The issue most of the time is not one of innovation, it's one of cost.

CF and theming go together like a tire and a midway.

Because you are a Dippin' Dots guy at Cedar Point? ;)
At this time of year, I actually could be that and much more : )
I think we should confine our guesses to projects that actually stand a chance of being completed by next season. I just think of how at this point in that season we could stand there and look at much of Maverick even before it was announced. I haven't been up in a while, but am I wrong in thinking that there's been no construction on the site whatsoever? I smell anticipointment.
And what's up, anyway, with the constant chatter about Cedar Point and lack of themeing? I think, especially for a hybrid park, there's nothing to complain about. You want theme? Walk the Trail or Frontier Town. They are gorgeous and perfect and somebody there knew what they were doing. Rides like Maverick and Skyhawk fit in just fine.
Cedar Point is an absolutely beautiful place and as far as I'm concerned they make much smarter choices using "lite" or individual decor/themeing for rides like Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster than they ever could using, say, a non-enduring movie theme or some crap like that. maXair and Wicked Twister will need paint someday, ok. But you can bet that they will stand there by the beach for many years to come, providing great thrills, never once dissappointing the millions of passersby due to a lack of theme.
