Cedar Point '07 Project

I love it. People are upset that some other site posted the pic early. As if they were forced to look at it or something.

For shame, for shame.

You're wrong if you think that part of the TOS prohibits people from simply posting a link to a picture on a different site. The prohibition is from promoting a site, I can go through the front page and show you numerous instances where people have posted links to pictures that are valid to the discussion and everything has been a-ok. There's links all over this forum.

The bottom line is that you can't come in here and claim that CP posted the picture somewhere and then have no proof to offer up. If they posted it elsewhere, where the frick was it?

Edit: You can actually go to the very first page of *this thread* and see about 5 or 6 links pointing out of this site. *** Edited 9/2/2006 1:04:18 AM UTC by matt.***

And that link above from Jason Hammond is why I didn't put a link to the site. But I will say that the picture was posted on a popular FRIEND website, and my picture maybe help someout below without giving the exact sites name...

sorry for the small pic, but you may be able to guess it. For some reason photobucket reduced the size and its really small now! =( *** Edited 9/2/2006 1:11:48 AM UTC by CP Boy*** *** Edited 9/2/2006 1:27:08 AM UTC by CP Boy***

LOL, is that myspace? You're telling me Cedar Point leaked the photo themselves, on myspace?
I'm not saying thee LEAKED it themselves, I'm saying that they or someone who knows a crap load POSTED it intentionally to get everyone drooling...

Ok then, lets call it respecting the wishes of Cedar Point not wanting the GP to know anything until they are ready to say.

I have not seen this site myself so I can not say with certainty, but I would guess that the GP was not suposed to find out about the site where it is suposedly posted. If in fact they posted it.

Which only means that screamscape didn't get the scoop if the picture on myspace was posted before 3:00 pm today.

Did anybody see the pic on myspace before then? Because if it wasn't posted first there, it means either the image was more or less stolen and leaked, or CP leaked it to Screamscape themselves. The latter not being very believable to me.

I mean no matter who posted the pic first, why would anybody put it on some random myspace profile first if they intended it for our eyes? *** Edited 9/2/2006 1:22:58 AM UTC by matt.***

I have it worlds tallest kiddie coaster!
I didn't know about the announcement until 4:20pm. So screamscape could have found the image before I got my little announcement, or someone found this image on screamscape and posted it on the website. *** Edited 9/2/2006 1:33:13 AM UTC by CP Boy***

Imagine in a deep western voice, someone saying in the commercial: "experience Maverick...featuring the most near collision points on a non-dueling coaster"...

What? (thats what 99.99% of the people watching would say).

Perhaps track? That was my wife's guess.

LOL. You are too funny.

Jason Hammond said:
well, they wouldn't say it like that. They could say, "Come experience a old fasioned duel where you'll chase your friends on your own personal maverick" (personal maverick would be a possible vekoma motorbike copy themed to a horse)

You on the other hand. I hope you weren't serious when you typed all of that.

Again, there are already coasters that have gone better than 95 degrees....so no dice there either. the "better than vertical" thing is nothing new.
