Cedar Point '07 Project

Here's two records it could take. 1.) Longest, double launching coaster - 2 LSM, and 2.) longest, tallest Intamin Ball coaster, 1st of it's kind, etc.. If it's 3 cars long, holds 12 riders, then that's 3 four seater ball coaster cars.

I consider the drops on Screamin' Squirrels to be inversions. Perhaps this coaster will be the most themed coaster at CP. Hardly a marketable affair, but it is worth a shot. ;)

maybe in that tunnel its not flat. who ever posted that above has a good point...u could easily fit 3 inversions in there lol
Is that another "joke"? The whole tunnel section (the track part) has already been completed, and yes, it's all flat.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I think they should just market the fun factor and leave all the possible records, or pseudo-records at the door.

But, Neuski, that would make too much sense!
... and wouldn't go well on a banner. ;) I can dream/wish for a few more days though.

The only record I'm taking note of is this gargantuan thread of misspelled posts, one after another.

For God's sake, please don't post unless you take the time to use proper grammar. Nothing is so mind-numbingly important to talk about (especially rollercoasters!) that you can't make yourself more easily understood by taking your time.

That is all.

Back to the thread at hand...

Gee whiz, I'm excited about this coaster. ;)

yes it was SFOG sorry I forgot the smiley ;) Although my grammar was horrible so u can still laugh at that! ;)

You're ok, Kyle. At least you try. :)

Hmmmmmmm....

The ride is going to cost around $21 million?

Guess being "in the loop" does'nt mean all that much anymore.

I don't know, but if that's the coaster in the picture i'll be happy with that and I can't waite to ride it next year and now all I have to worry about is if I will fit in the coaster car

I don't want to put words in Jeff's mouth here, but I see nothing in the news discussion that would indicate that Jeff doesn't know exactly what's going on, and hasn't for a long time.

Are you gleaming something from that conversation that I'm just not seeing or are you just trying to be snarky?

Will this have a basic chain lift, or will it be a cable lift like millennium force? Also, what is millennium forces angle of decent?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

They way I understand it is that it'll be a launched lift. MF's angle of descent is 80ยบ.

Possibly....but I suspect more like California Screamin....just a LIM/LSM powered lift. Why? It seems that if you have those fins underneath the train for the Launches you wouldn't be able to easily have a chain lift, right? The fins would have to be on the sides of the train.

So Rob, are you goning to visit us next summer? :)

-Tambo

Do we all forget that Screamscape linked the blue prints for Tomb Raider and for Hydra (I have no idea where he got those ;))before the rides were announced?

If he comes across something he is under no legal obligation to keep it secret. He signed no agreements or anything.

I'm not saying that Cedar Point constructs different parts of the ride at different times just to keep things a secret, but it seems pretty convenient that the first piece of track they installed just happened to be where the first drop flattens out; no sooner.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

SFoGswim - no, what makes sense is building the lower level of track [tunnel launch] first, then go back and build the higher sections [lift and drop] over it. Imagine trying to place the launch track with the lift hill and supports in the way! lol
