Cedar Point '07 Project

Wow, that concept looks great! Things I love:

- S-turn in like a canyon
- Zero-G roll at like 60 mph over the launch track
- Sharp dive over the S-turn into a ditch

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I agree that the "concept art" looks a lot like Kieth's animations. That fact combined with how dead on it matches the track that has been thrown up in the past few days makes this very believable...you don't just throw a computer animation together like that in a couple of hours after looking at the latest photos.

It does look like a very fun and unique ride though, and it's nice to see CP trying something new that doesn't draw much or any of its inspiration from the record books.

where is the concept art send me a link

I Love Coasters

As for the trains speculated to be 3 cars long and hold 12 riders, it makes a lot of sense considering the shape of that bunny hop before the two corkscrews. Could you imagine a 7 car train flying over that? The difference in forces would be nuts!
That's a controversial topic on this board with some people. I tried to defend it back on Page 50, but some people just won't be persuaded.

This ride looks like the definition of fun. A great move by CP!

Have you ever seen a man eat his own face?

I think this thing looks awesome. Not a gimmick filled coaster, but one that can deliver a punch.

Wow this ride reminds be a bit of Powder keg only taller, inversions, and quite a bit faster. It is very good to know it isn't a gimmick coaster besides the 95' drop and it looks to be well themed and a family thriller.

I want to see it too!

It's at Screamscape.com.

Holy schnikes talk about a major score for screamscape...

I have a question, has there ever been any sort of precedent for a park suing a site over something like that? I'm not a lawyer so I wouldn't know the legalities of something like that but it seems like the park could have some action somewhere...

People sue other people because they have losses. Try proving that CP will lose anything because that was released early. The best they could hope for would be to have it taken down.

It's not working for me. Why isn't it working!!!!!

Well, people sue other people for all sorts of things. I mean if the image is legit isn't it legally owned by Cedar Point and therefore copyrighted? It just seems like *some* sort of legal action could be appropriate, seeing as the image is essentially stolen, yes? Just wondering is all.

Lance should know better than posting that before the announcement. I mean if the people that knew way back last year had to keep quiet, why doesn't he have keep his big trap shut as well?

I'm pissed at him right now and cannot believe that he would do something like that. :(

You can't believe it? I mean isn't the entire jist of the site to reveal park secrets before they are officially announced?
If I were CP I would be soooo pissed at srceamscape right now! That has to be a real image.
They can score double exposure.

All of the exitement generated today and then another round when the animations come out.

Silver lining???

Maybe not. :(

Yeah, the release of the picture early changes everything, like... well there's... I mean, there has to be...

Nope. Nothing.

I got it to load! This thing looks awsome, I want to see a POV! What do you think the "near-inversion" will look like?

Closed topic.
