I don't think any *reasonable* person wiuld suggest otherwise.
Wait. Didn't you just suggest it? I just *knew* you were unreasonable! ;)

Jeff and Walt have both said---over and over again---that they do not allow (links to) pictures taken in a way that violates the law or park rules. Seeing as how they own the site, they get to decide this.It doesn't matter if you don't agree with them. It doesn't matter if you don't think it would harm anyone. It doesn't even matter why they've made this decision.
It just is.
There are several other fan sites out there that are more liberal with their photography policies.
Correct Sir!!!
And that's what I said, just not as well as you sir.
However, just to point out, NO laws where broken in looking at or taking the pic. We also do not know 100% for a fact that the pic was taken by someone who did not have the right to be where they took it at. Now in all reality we know the pic was taken by a rider on Mean Streak. But we can not be 100% sure that in was not taken by CP employee who had the right to be there, and to take a pic. Hell for all we know it could be a pic put out by a PR person at CP to help create more chatter. But as you and I stated, it does'nt matter. It's not our site. Maybe Mr CoasterBuzzer can understand that? *** Edited 8/31/2006 8:59:23 AM UTC by indyandrew***
Incorrect sir! I believe that pic was already posted over at Pointbuzz and consequently taken off the site. Obviously, it was not taken with permission. Case closed.
Oh yea, a webmaster of an UNOFFICAL fan site takes down a pic. It obviously means the pic is bad. Of course it does.
This would be a great time to see the mean streak view of the coaster. They seem to be adding 75 feet of track everyday. 2 teams? possibly 3? 1 group setting up supports, the other laying track. And I can't tell, my work computer is the worse in the world, but from what I see, there's a turn going in, out going out the straight away. But i'm not sure which is which, can anyone clear this up because my computer isn't helping. My computer...
Nevermind, picture finally loaded, I don't think they added anything to the end, but it looks as though if they kept going with the incline, they'll hit track.

Actually, we do know 100% for a fact how it was taken. As I posted pages ago, in this very thread, the person who took told me it was taken while riding. Second, as already mentioned, it wouldn't be any better if it was an employee who took the picture from the lift hill. The park has taken action in the past against employees for similar reasons.
I have enough respect for the park to play by their rules. And it's not even a stretch for me to do so, because I happen to agree with them.
Cedar Point's on-ride photo policy, and violations of said policy, has been discussed (in long, heated threads) at CoasterBuzz long before your time here. It is what it is.
Usually I would say something about being amazed at how this discussion has gone on, but I've really come to expect it.

a loop and the two corkscrews that look like a cobra roll right?!?
the idea of a mega looper still isn't out of the picture... that would be sweet with the launch they have
and dude forget about the picture that was taken we aren't even referencing that anymore *** Edited 8/31/2006 7:46:06 PM UTC by KAPrep9008***

yes, I can be unreasonable...but that wasn't me, it was my "straw man". He's even worse... :)
Lets talk about coasters, and let the moderators do there job.(there always seems to be some kind of pissing match going on in here).
Anyway, this coaster looks interesting. I wonder how fast you will be going thrue them crazy looking corkscrews.
Also, has there ever been a coaster built with a combination lift and a launch?
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If so, what in Anton Schwarzkopf's name is CP thinking by adding another plagued problematic ride?!?
It is an interesting thought about how fast you will be going through the corkscrews.
Not sure about the combination of lift hill and launch. I can't recall any coasters with both. Not to say there isn't.

^^Is it just me, or does that "Launch" look to have some rough looking transitions?
Also, I think it's safe to say the ride goes from corkscrews to flat section into upward turn, and not the other way around.
I check out this thread daily to hear about ride speculation and see some photos of new construction. If something is deemed inappropriate for this site, I am sure Jeff or some other moderator can take care of it. I believe they successfully passed grade school a while back and have no inclination to return.
Have a nice day. :)

Yea, and doesn't the California Screamer does that too, haven't rode it, but I think it does. And Hulk is the perfect example.
But do we have some definate inversion pictures, because all I know of is the 2 corkscrews. But we OBVIOUSLY know that there will be more, becasue there is more track that supports, and track keeps arriving.
SFGAdv lover: I actually think that picture would rule out a hydraulic launch, as there would need to be a big fat groove going down middle of the track for the sled. LIMs on the other hand are just bolted on top of the track.
Closed topic.
