Cedar Point '07 Project

^^^^^^
I think that is more a result of the angle the picture was taken at rather than the actual size of the support. My guess is that the thick support is just one of the vertical ones in the straightaway.
^ Yep, you're right. Sorry about that!
Some things that I have made in Speculation.... Enjoy!

So I have been working on a ROUGH scale on what has been built on Mavrick w/ some of my own... Here as some of my Screens from my No Limits Model of the ZGR/CorkRolls Blah Blah....

First Roll and Bunny Hill

Both Rolls (there will be 2, I promise... The second is has been started)

And a Video (also made by me) =P

^ Whare is the turn that goes over the lake/pond.

Also that coaster seems a little basic and boring..... and short.

Cool. But I think you got the trains wrong. By the way, no trains have been spotted yet, right? I think they will be the biggest surprise.

A curved launch? I'll believe it when I see it (which will be never).

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

If only Anton was around, Im sure he would have tried something like that.

I hope you all realize that is just a guess at the layout because if some of you were being serious, I'd have to laugh at you. :)

Ride count on the Voyage: 40 Most consecutive rides on the Voyage: 36 Day after thigh bruises from airtime: Priceless
That video looks cool. The layout doesnt seem that boring. However, i do agree that the trains will be really cool. Who knows. Im sure that if they are keeping this a huge secret and causing all this hype, that they have something really special up their sleeve!
I think that he's sticking to what we know so far. It's obvious from the photos that the layout going to involve a lot more.

I'm glad that there are upside downie's! ;)

But for real...I hope this coaster is a lot more of a smoother inverting coaster. Another thing we have to realize is that it's gonna have OTSR's now. Are those Intamin OTSR's uncomfortable?

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

^They are right up there in comfert with the B&Ms in my book, and provide much more field of vision (the OTSRs are maybe an inch thick.) The only thing thats a pain is pulling them up and down (hydraulics just like the lap bars but the added weight and the new location means grandma might not be able to pull it down by herself.)

I've never been on an intamin that goes upside down or has OTSR's, so i'm fine with it!
The video was partly a guess in the beginning (because I needed something to start with or I would have nothing to run on the tracks). I'm planing to construct as they construct, so of course its not going to be done for a few months now.
I loved the video and pictures BGRooDog, thank you. Does that program allow for changing the trains to WW? That would be interesting to see as well. As a few have said already, looking at the bunny hill supports proves we shouldn't assume track will be placed on each footer currently in place. The more the layout is confirmed, the more a WW makes sense, cause i do agree with Fball, the layout appears weaker with traditional trans vs. WW imo.

Tom

Im one of those who dont believe it will be a WW design. Im still just seeing the good old 2x8 Setup. No Limits does not have any WW Trains, their selection is limited. And well, WW is still a Prototype ;)

Although WW would be fun

........smoother than what? I've been on plenty of "smooth" inverting coasters.

I am amazed at the relatively "small" size of the coaster so far...... But look at what's around it. Mean Streak looks HUGE in comparison. You really lose your perspective at Cedar Point. Well, as they say, "little things mean a lot" (but I wouldn't know). ;)

I meant smoother than what they offer so far..as in Raptor, Mantis, and Corkscrew....although I guess age is a pretty big factor.

Raptor's ok but Mantis and Corkscrew are killer.

Corkscrew-I agree
Mantis-Ouch! Ouch! My feet and sack are going to fall off!
but Raptor?!?

While it has the standard bump right before the final break (that all early B&Ms had) besides that that thing is like butter. You cant possibly tell me that that coaster is in the same league as Corkscrew.
