Where is it written that box track is necessary for 70+ mph? I thought box track is only needed for long unsupported sections or sections with high loads on them.
True. 120 mph on just rails (no triangle, no box):

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I'm guessing those who know aren't sending out any PMs any time soon?

Superman: Ride of Steel at Darien Lake & SF America use either flat track or triangluar track, but nowhere do they use the square box track & their top speed I think is 73mph.

Why not haha.
I mean't to those who are really curious ;) *** Edited 8/16/2006 3:13:11 PM UTC by P18***
You have to wonder how Cedar Point gets all of their employee's who know about this to keep it quiet? Must be some way because what ever they do, it's pretty damn effective. Maybe they just start all these forums to get everyone guessing so that when someone really does spill it, there's a greater chance that no one is going to believe them...

Easy. They dont tell them. Every employee you've met who claims to know is lying. Simple as that. *** Edited 8/16/2006 3:35:06 PM UTC by OhioStater***

yeah i bet weve already announced the ride ourselves numerous times but we didnt realize it. This is great

Either the employees don't know, or those who do are forced to sign a confidenciality agreement from the park, simple as that.

No, I'm pretty sure that they use ninjas to keep people quiet. If the ninjas think somebody is about to talk, it's a shuriken to the throat.

I thought they used Jedi Knights. Learn something new everyday. ;)

"yes."

Well, just to add another post to an already long string of guesses. I just wanted to say that the placement of the web cam at CP for Project 2007 is well done. It seems that if you look at the track already in place and the supports leading from them that the track will be heading directly towards the camera, then diving to the riders right. (screen left)

Back on Topic: moving fast yay.

Nope I don't Swoosh enlighten me. Please HaHa.

Is there something on there website I'm missing that your talking about.

You talking about the picture of the crane in WOF's parking lot on your website ? Don't leave me hanging .

Opps Thanks Moosh got a little carried away how come Swoosh post are gone now ? Hum. Well anyways wish I knew if he was joking about warning WOF or if he was serious and if he was serious what he meant by it. *** Edited 8/17/2006 6:11:13 AM UTC by TonyBlackjack***

Woah Tony...take a deep breath, calm down, and then maybe go back and edit/delete your back-to-back posts so you don't look like a raving lunatic.
Wow. What just happened?
There ya go moosh sry about that
Has anyone really looked at footer positions and current track positions to figure out a possible route both vertically and horizontally? I would also like ask about the supports still near the hotel. Any ideas on where its going?

Boy that is REALLY relevant to this topic! ^^

Glad when other people say stuff like that, Jeff bans their thread for trolling and irrelevant posting. By the way, isnt about time that we close THIS thread down, seeing as this thing has been more redundant than a 90 year old with alzheimers. So far we've accomplished that its a red intamin and that apparently Cedar Point employs Jedi's. Real useful thread here. Good job everyone. *** Edited 8/17/2006 8:04:34 PM UTC by FballReimer11***

^Nice to meet you FballReimer11.

Welcome to CoasterBuzz.

Your topic didn't get shut down because it was full of sarcastic and irrelevant comments, it got shut down because it was a non-topic (coincidentally, also the reason it got all the sarcastic comments).

Yes, this topic has been dead for quite some time but it's still an interesting read. Asking about an announcement would have gone just fine in here and would've been perfectly acceptable, but people generally don't create new topics for things like that.

And this is a board where people really couldn't care less about post counts and/or who started a topic, so don't worry too much if your topic gets shut down and someone elses doesn't. It's not personal.

Actually, I have no idea who started this one (longest in recent memory) or any of the other classics (except for the pancake thread...that was "Nuts").
