It really sounds like you never had much confidence in the article to begin with....
Quick postscript: I am very well aware Cedar Point has a rocket already, but anything comparable to the alledged design listed in the article would vastly out-do TTD in terms of layout and overall ride experience, as it wouldn't be an under 20 second experience. *** Edited 7/27/2006 11:08:56 PM UTC by Demopoulator***
Just trying to get this thread back on track. :)

Now, back to our cp talk.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
As it was said earlier, the supports for the brake run on the CP project DO bear a remarkable similarity to a certain other red, Swiss-built accelrator project...

Demo - I think what matt is referring to is that it appears you were not making any noise the moment you got the article. I would suspect that most enthusiasts would immediately jump online and start talking about the info they were just given, such as starting a new post call "Article describes massive Kennywood expansion plans" or something.
I understand. I haven't had an internet accesible computer in some time. Coasterbuzz sort of becomes inaccessible without the wonderful world wide web at one's disposal. Ah well. Back to the initial topic, has anyone caught a glimpse of anything at Cedar Point that might resemble launch track to house a hydrualic winch?
Look at Venom, its dead for the next few weeks...
There is some "mechanical" destruction caused by the train on the launch portion of the ride... The train is half off in the station as of 7/26. *** Edited 7/27/2006 11:28:07 PM UTC by SteveWoA***
It could be some sort of "reverser" coaster? It would launch, go thrue the circut and come to a reverser table and do it all backwords?
It could even take a differant circut backwords to the station.
Just an idea I thought of after reading the " whole new direction" sign.

not trying to rip on ya, but I think the article you've been given is a hoax. It looks "Rather" fishy to me....
- I've never seen a newspaper use a standard word processor "Courier" font before.
- I've never seen a newspaper article that didn't use 'edge' justification either. Look at how the left edge of all of the paragraphs is aligned, and the right varies. Most newspaper articles I've seen stretch the spacing of the letters/words to make the right edge aligned as well.
Who knows? You might just be in contact with a future CBS reporter... ;)
