I like your idea, though, but that just may be more of my enthusiast head talking. A speedy, airtime filled, twisty-turny, low to the ground Inatmin rocket-coaster sounds like a 100% blast to me.
You mean like Rita (which from what I understand is mediocre) ;)

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
1. This is some sort of intamin coaster new for the 2007 season that involves a 'bucking bronco' and some 'serious sidewindin'?
2. At least part of the coaster is red.
Now I must share with you my (not-so) honorary opinion.
I feel that the park probably couldn't build a 430+ foot coaster that has a lot of loops, simply because the forces on that would be so extreme. For example, I rode in the backseat of Millienium Force last week and almost blacked out on the first over bank...and thats 130 feet less than my example stated above. Now I'm about 6 foot, 200 pounds, and the average person ways less, so I don't think 430+ feet & inversions= profit. But I could be wrong.
Considering they already have the world's first Hypercoaster, Gigacoaster, and Stratacoaster, there is no doubt in my mind they would go for the world's first...______coaster equaling 500 feet or more, especially when they sign says that they are going in a whole new direction. I'm sure a traditional lift hill could be put in place and things like that. But once again, in my (not-so) honorary opinion, I just can't imagine it.
Another thing that's rumored is a Mega-Looper or something to that effect with 10 or more inversions. I see this as a very real possibility because Cedar Point doesn't have a "Modern" sit-down looper in it's collection and B&M usually isn't the company that goes for the record books with their rollercoasters. Put 2 and 2 together by looking at Collossus and it seems as though Cedar Point and Intamin are a great match. I truly believe this is what the park will be getting.
Now I'm probably wrong, and I'm definitely an amateur out of the loop for about a year, but it's still nice to try and guess with the big boys. :)
A couple of things I thought of that some of you might not have thought of or mentioned before:
1. A whole new direction could be underground.
2. Serious sidewindin could be a lot of overbanks.
3. A whole new direction could be through rollercoasters, under rollercoasters, over rollercoasters, or even maybe over the lake?
4. Could it be a looping coaster with aquatrax-like water elements?
5. I saw someone mentioned that Mean Streak might be seeing the end of days, could they possibly tear that down and put up this coaster? I saw the sign on Mean Streak so you never know...because Cedar Point is known for world class rollercoasters but I have never seen a sign on one stating it. Could have just been me though.
Anyway just my thoughts and opinions.
It's probably not my place to say this, but I've seen so much bashing in this thread that I might as well anyway. People come from all walks of life with all different opinions, backgrounds, and crazy stories. So don't bash someone because someone tells a story about what a guy said.
Personally I think what he said isn't accurate all the way, but either way it's his story and his opinion and you all should respect that. Because I have seen myself, and most of you (not all) get bashed, ridiculed, and laughed at for saying more ridiculous, and even dumber things. But yet you still believed it was a fact, that you were right. So I am not taking sides at all here I'm just saying the whole reason for a discussion board, especially for a topic that has a wide spectrum of possibilities, like this one, is to meet other enthusiasts, share opinions with them, respect them, and get pissed when we find out we are all wrong in August. :)
It's good to be back,

When you zoom on the sign it pixelizes too much, but to me thats what it looks like. But as much as I can make out. If its not correct someone please correct me. *** Edited 7/24/2006 4:18:48 AM UTC by CP Boy***
Next year it will say: Mean Streak: Now that you're back here, ride that "other half" of Gemini you see from the midway. ;)

It probably says, "Mean Streak: Ride now because the line is going to get a lot longer once there's something to pull people back to this area of the park!" ;)
I thought I'd lost my mind for defending Kong ;).

What's the problem? I told Mitch Mean Streak was my #1 out of the near 40 I had rode last year.

Has anyone been to Sirchubs' website? If you're reading this Sirchubs, why on Earth is Mean Streak #6 on your wooden top ten?
