Cedar Point '07 Project

First Rocket/Flyer anyone? *** Edited 5/31/2006 10:08:20 PM UTC by TonyBlackjack***
No...flyers are still gimmicks. Why make a gimmick more gimmicky. Give me a solid coaster with lasting popularity.

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
Cedar point is all about gimmicky rides.
whats new.
Not really...all but 2 or 3 really aren't. THere's a difference between a record breaker and a gimmick. In my book: Bigger version of a "traditional" ride is not a gimmick. Altering the position of one's body when riding (Stand up, flyer, etc.) = gimmick. (Of course TTD is totally one giant gimmick to me, but a really good one I enjoy.....the novelty of standing up or flying seems to wear off pretty quickly!)

Agreed, I'd count at least 10 to 12 coasters at Cedar Point that are pretty much gimmick-free.

Pretty remarkable.

True HaHa. I made a statement with out thinking my bad. Anywho here's to the most extreme log flume idea.*Cheers* Whatever it is I'm sure there will be 5 new coasters at Cedar Point before I ever get back out there.

It'd be a major attraction if it were the most "extreme" flume ever, and it would still be a family one to boot, with a height limit that would let the 7 year old on too (but maybe not the 4 year old)

My 7 year old rides PR at KW at least 6 times every time we are there. So, I guess the height limit wouldnt have to be a small one. ;) *** Edited 6/1/2006 9:50:25 AM UTC by coastercrazed***

You can say that again. :)

Does anyone else feel that there is a ridiculous amount of footers there? Maybe they're building five intertwining 500 foot coasters!!!11! ;)

Oh shut up you 500ft fanboy. I aught to shrink you down to 5 inches.

Whoa there, newbie. I take offense to being called a 500 foot fanboy, which I certainly am not. (Not that there really is anything wrong with being one) Note the smiley. Sheesh, can't even be sarcastic anymore. :(

Would I be consided a newbie because I have only been a Coaster Buzz Club member for about a year and a half now?

Nah, it's just that CX360 has been a member for just a month or and has only contributed insults to the threads he's recently replied in. :(

^O.K. Thanks

Well what ever the n.ew ride is it will probably have no themeing like all the other rides at Cedar Point.

All? You sure about that?

He has a point Moosh, out of all the coasters they have Disaster Transport is the only one thats themed. *** Edited 6/4/2006 4:12:22 AM UTC by DantheCoasterman***

Think harder, Dan.
Puting a name on a coaster and putin' up a couple of flags and signs is not considered good themeing.
