You can't really make out the sign, but it does say, "Wait from this point, 1 hour." ;)
I'll have to say this is exciting news! I wish they would replace Mean Streak with a better woodie. I LOVE CP! But the only coaster that I don't like there is Mean Streak...my brain feels scrambled after I ride that.
I can't wait to see the new track pieces on Saturday!
I'd rather be riding Roller Coasters....or baking.

On to "going different directions" from the construction signs...
If you look at the Euopean Patent drawing in the 2 head on drawings each "pair" of seats has one facing forward and one backward.
With this set up the coaster would have a high re-rideability because you would get vastly different rides depending on which direction you were facing and which side of the track you sat on.
Just a couple of observations. I guess time will eventually tell.
EDIT: I just looked at the "rotating spike" and by adding this element you further increase the number of different ride experiences on 1 coaster.

"Bumping up" to CF standards? From PP standards?
I'm confused....not picking on you, just curious.
My only *complaint* about the Paramount Parks was their wooden coaster maintenance...they are (or were) beautiful, well-landscaped, clean shady parks, with friendly staff. I'm not sure how CF is going to improve on that....
Note: Each chain has one park I considered a *dud*....mostly due to staffing and operations concerns...
edit: I just realized what this means for the old Paramount Parks! Hypers for everybody! (Morgans) ;)

They can't take advantage of advertising the shade right now since everybody expects it. But if you take it away the people will eventually forget how it used to be. Then once it's grown back in, voila, instant advertising. They're just looking to the future. I can just see it now, the 2026 ad campaign, "KI, now with shade!" :)
We also saw the new construction site. Along the coast, next to MF. It's going to cover a lot of ground! It's going to go over water. I can't wait to find out what it's going to be.
All in good time though. :-) *** Edited 5/31/2006 12:26:46 PM UTC by coasterlover325***

And, having been to several of the Paramount parks already, it looks to me as if they already meet or exceed "CF standards". Even the smaller properties are nice, certainly comparable to CF's mid-sized properties, and better than its smallest (MiA).
Could it be a aqua coaster? Does the one in Korea ever actually float on it's circuit, where they'd have to support all that water on the drop as well? It'd be a major attraction if it were the most "extreme" flume ever, and it would still be a family one to boot, with a height limit that would let the 7 year old on too (but maybe not the 4 year old)

Woo hoo! I'm bored already! ;)

What I wasn't insinuating is that CF standards are better than Paramount standards, just different.
OK, gotcha....definitely different. And for the record, I don't think of Paramount as necessarily BETTER per se, but I would go so far as to say better *in those ways that are more important to me*. I love trees and flowers and shade...(and to beat Gonch to the punch, yes, I *am* a freakin' hippie). :)
^ matt., don't be bored....haven't you ever tried riding a Morgan hyper *sans-shirt*? :)
Steel Eel is the one "pure Morgan" that I thought really held some promise....it delivered a little, but if they'd only *tapped* the MCBR brake, we'd have gotten REALLY good rides...
