Cedar Point '07 Project

after listening to the podcast

jeff's comment about "big change" is clearly not about project 07

I would say it has to deal with Paramount and possibly CF, but thats just a hunch

I was refering to height alone. Mostly in response to the "its gonna be a 500 footer that goes around the entire park" style posts. In terms of length and area, yes it is huge, and I was in no way trying to knock the ride. I absolutley love that thing. now its son....thats another matter.
The last time I remember Jeff hinting at "big amusement industry news", CCI went out of business two weeks later.

you should really be posting about that here. http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=44583

True. Done. :)

The on-topic point was, the big industry news sure as hell isn't about red Intamin track in Sandusky.

Actually, based on the type of track that is pictured, I have determined three things. One, it probably won't be an aquatrax, two, it won't be an add on to TTD, and three it is an Intamin(of course). I think it could possibly be an Intamin AG accelorator coaster like speed monster at TusenFryd.

He already said it like 10 posts back ... I think it's the theme of the thread ... that and pancakes.

After years of missing the glory pancake years I feel were getting a glimpse ofjust how awesome they were. No one will be able to replace CPNUT in my heart ;)

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
I was at CP yesterday and there are new signs up around the construction site. One was on the wall along the pathways and said "There's a storm a-brewin'!" The other ones I think could only be seen from the train -- I don't recall seeing any them anywhere else. They were just stuck in the ground along the tracks. One said "Watch your spurs!" or something to that effect. The most interesting one said "Get ready for some serious sidewindin'!" There was at least one, maybe two more but for the life of me I can't remember what they said.

I knew it, They are gona use intamin and go for the most inversions and call it "Waterspout". ???

maybe?

Hey everybody... first post to CB! It's been my theory to that CP would try to break the "most inversions" record next. You don't need a lot of height or area to do it, just look at Colossus at Thorpe. I've been saying for a while now that that's what their next big project would be, but my theory had them removing Corkscrew and putting it there. That way they could keep a few of the same features, such as the corkscrews over the midway, and still keep the same "cover photo" oportunities.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the captain has turned on the 'Sit the f*** down and shut the f*** up' light"

CP will not remove Corkscrew for a long, long time. If ever.

And at the end, everyone gets doused in syrup!

Kind of like ACE meants the Suicide Girls, right? Or, maybe that would be doused in gravy.

Remove our beloved Corkscrew?? The first "-est" coaster at CP which started the trend of biggest/fastest/bestest??? I don't think so.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Actually, I would like to see a Vekoma Motorbike coaster, but it's not gonna happen. I agree though with a roided Storm Runner idea. Hey, maybe even a 5-10 inversion one. I haven't been on Storm Runner yet, but it looks awesome, so I think one would look good at Cedar Point.
Is this kind of sounding cowboy themed to anyone? "Back up Bronco" was another line.

My band "The Cedar Kings". "Ordinary Day" a trip report in song.

Other than TTD, no rides are basically "themed" for anything. I think that they are just gonna call it something that is western, but not theme it.
^ Wrong
Why, I mean Thunder Canyon is themed, but at the moment, I can't think of any other rides. If I had been to Cedar Point ( which i haven't) i would know.
