Cedar Fair and B&Ms

Kraken also has that layout. Raptor and Montu also have similar layouts to these....

Raptor and Montu similar? Raptor and Montu in the same sentence, much less the same paragraph or post? I'll have some a' what he's smoking!

Seriously, a similar or even identical sequence of inversions has absolutely nothing to do with a similar ride experience.

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

i have a petty good idea of the lack of beemas exept for talon. bnm make amazing but really expensive rides now adays. Nitro-22 million, for only i think 12-15 million sros at sfne was purchased. (can't remeber exact number in millions). There you have a coaster just as big and design extensive timewise as nitro that costs alot less giving the public just as big of a thrill as nitro interms of how big the ride is. i think cedarfair sees it this way. More for less is good. The only thing that no other company can match nomatter what is the invert and wala. Talon. Personally i think that bnm givbes a superior far more reliable product though. As much as people like sros at sfne more (myself undecided) it has lower capacity and er... brake and reliability problems that no bnm has. You get what you pay for is true in this case.

Eyes crossed....can't see......must have paragraphs and capitals....must........

I am embarassed for you. If you must sleep through a class, pick something other than English.

Ive never heard of B&M making one design a good number of people dont like

I can name two: Silver Star & Superman @ WBMW Madrid. The B: TR layout kicks ass though

Don't many people hate one of those Vortex coasters at one of the Paromount parks? I think its the one with the Red color scheme. By the way, in response to earlier, none of the vortex standups have Dive loops or incline loops.

-----------------
Some say: "It's too fast"
Some say: "It's too slow"
Enthusiasts say: "Bring it on!"

Well, actually, a lot of enthusiasts that I talked to have loved Superman at WBMW! But I dont think mant people liked Vortex, like what Ultimate Coaster said.

DRNK very foolishly said:

"Why does every no-clue person wants to invert on a roller coaster"?

Oh, I don't know, maybe because some people like inversions? Now *there's* a clue, we don't all like the same things in rollercoasters, that's what *suppose* to make it a fun hobby.

And for the record, I have yet to encounter a "repetitive" B&M with an empty line...

-----------------
Superman:The Escape(1997-2002) May he one day fly again.

Well said DWeaver, I love inversions too! I admit sometimes raw speed is a lot of fun but what I would like even more is a tall, fast, twisted layout full of inversions! Of course, that's my opinion. Everybody has their own opinion, that's why there are so many differet kinds of coasters. Without preferences all we'd have would be coasters that all looked and felt alike, it's these preferences that make the coaster world funner!
Yes, wickedtwister180, it would be pretty odd if everyone had the same preferences on coasters! Which CF park do you guys think needs a looper the most?

i still thinks its funny when some of you complain about B&M and the whole B:TR clone deal....there are only six of those in operation, soon to be seven....there are WELL over 30 Vekoma Boomerangs in the world, and im sure almost as many SLC's running

hey...thats my story..and im stickin by it!!!
PKD 2003...drop rides will never be the same...Intamin rocks!!

Knotts. There are 3 rides in the park that go upside down: Bommerang, Monte, and Hammerhead. A total of 1 bommerang element and two loops, in addition to hammerheads 7 or so full inversions. Knotts needs another traditional lift hill, continuous circuit ride.

Valleyfair just has a corkscrew ride. Ditto for Michigans adventure.

Boring and Meaningless?!! I love B&M! They are my favorite coaster designers! I admit they sometimes seem to follow a generic design but overall they are easily my favorite coaster designer. They make some of the best hypers around (rivaled only by Intamin as far as what I've found the funnest) and ever since their revoloutionary inverted and steel twister ideas people haven't looked at roller coasters the same way! Arrow, although a good company, have made tons of coasters I find are not fun and sometimes even painful. Ive never heard of B&M making one design a good number of people dont like, so I think you should just keep your mouth shut when talking to them because either a) you just have'nt ridden them enough or b) almost everybody else does like them and finds them very meaningful. It's because of B&M I found out how much I like coasters. Maybe you should ride some of theirs again, it's not their fault nobody wants original designs anymore (as I'm hoping Batman: The Ride is what your basing your opinions on).

Hold the phone a second and lighten up a notch. I don't know what country you live in but I live in the United States and people have the right and freedom to express their opinion. I happen to agree, B&M tends to steer clear of anything that could ruin their reputation (steeper drops, bigger drops, and heaven forbid a ride without trims!) Except for their inverted coasters, they really have done nothing to "change" the coaster world but take an idea from another company (Arrow with steel coasters) and improve it.

Back on the topic of Batman "overuse" I got to say that is incredibly smart. Batman is their greatest design and most intense coaster I've ever experienced by B&M. While I onced loved B&M, I do find that in recent years they have decided to slow down and continue on with the repuation they have yet continue to raise prices to make as I've heard it appropriately put before "REALLY expensive kiddie rides."

The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.

About the Vortex coasters:

The first B&M I ever rode was Vortex at PGA. It was smooth and VERY enjoyable.

The other Vortex must be the one that people complain about.

-----------------

No vortex at Carowinds is fine. It is the Great America Vortex that gets all the complaints along with Iron Wolf. Ouch most painful coaster I have ever rode including Viper at Gadv.

Ode to the offseason:
Offseason Offseason what shall I do? Who cares the sun is still shining the sky is still blue! GET A LIFE!

Is that even possible? You're comparing two B&Ms to a Togo! ;)
PGA's Vortex was smooth as glass when I rode it this summer (and an *awesome* ride at that). Iron Wolf can throw you around a bit, and there are one or two nasty spots, but overall I don't know what the complaints are about, especially considering how intense and forceful that ride is. It doesn't even come close to being as rough as my least favorite rides (Shockwave, GASM, Lost Coaster, etc).

I've been on that coaster, and I can't say it's a bad ride. It's not all that comfortable, and it has some major resonance, but it's a fun ride. Huge speeds, massive airtime, nice inversions, lots of black-outs. IMHO, it's not fair to call Superman at WBMW an unpopular B&M.

-----------------
Dutch Coastin' :: European coasters, thrills and theming!

Coasterdude, Shockwave, GASM, LoCoSuMo, Viper whatever none are as rough as the 3 rides I took on Iron Wolf.

Took one ride to ride it, 2nd ride was well it really can't be as bad as I think it was, and a 3rd ride which completely reafirmed my first ride.

And Kraxel, the Togo comparison is completely justified. ;)

coasterdude: My ride on PGA's Vortex was anything but smooth. I was kind of shocked how bad it was since I've never had that happen on any B&M prior to that (and after for that matter). Maybe I should have given it a second chance as I sometimes do...

Every other B&M I've ever been on has been great. No complaints here.
