Well is there any track down in Ohio with a shipping sticker that says "Canaba's Wonderland"? I mean there was track there last year that had "Worlds of Fun" on it. Where are our Ohiowegians that usually go check for us?
How about Intamin hyper-rocket. Not that I think it's likely but it's not like commissioning a somewhat traditional hypercoaster experience sans lift hill+first drop would really be that much of a stretch for Intamin or CF.
^That actually sounds like it could happen having the coaster being an Intamin Mega Coaster. Superman the Ride of Steel was like 8 million and Goliath at SFOG was 20 million, so it could defiantly be a possibility. *** Edited 7/8/2007 11:04:57 PM UTC by Audioslaved***
Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers
I'm guessing that CW will be receiving an Intamin hyper coaster. Morgan's are okay but an Intamin is a lot more of an intense ride, for only 2 million more. Their a lot more fun, and are more smooth. With the way CF has been getting Intamin's I couldn’t see CW getting any thing else.
I would bet that if they are building a hyper coaster it will probably be either Intamin or B&M. If this is a looping coaster, it definately will be B&M. CW is now the most attended seasonal theme park in North America. The sad thing is that their coaster lineup is not all that wonderful and capacity is an issue. So they are going to build a coaster that has huge capacity wether it is a hyper or a mega-looper from B&M. Personally, my bet is on B&M hyper much like Nitro.
I can definately see CF improving CW in lots of ways, including higher quality coasters. It makes sense to heavily invest in the park, being the highest attended park in North America. It's also got TONS of room all around the park.
For 08, I hope this turns out as an Intamin or B&M hyper. Actually, as much as I love Intamin (my fav company :D) I'm kinda hoping for a B&M. And it's not ruled out because of round footers! Patriot's got round footers, so it's still a possibility. There's more then enough room behind Sledge Hammer/Psyclone area where it's being built, over the pond or not. Either way, an awesome hyper could be built with room to spare.
I mean, being the most attended park in North America and also lacking a real good steel or wood coaster (excluding Wild Beast!), a major hyper would fit in perfectly IMO. We've been ripped off the past two seasons, and if CF comes in and saves the day, that'd just be awesome :)
Morgan coasters are just as good as Intiamin. Actually, it seems like Morgan has a better safty record. Phantoms Revenge rivals the likes of ROS IMO. Nothing can compare to the bunny hops and the double down.
