Sure, not Superman and SFNE nice...or Maverick nice...but still...better then anything we have...and our first B&M at CW if I am not mistaken.
I just hope we get something...we've been jipped the last 2 seasons.
PCW would benefit greatly if any new power bomb ride was dropped into the park. There is almost always a large line waiting patiently for Italian stunt job at PCW. I'm not even going to dig into the credibility of that ride, and then I think of a ride built by B&M in PCW.
lol, six hour line.
Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers
Passports will NOT... N O T be required to go into Canada... for a looooooong time
Passports will N O T be required to return from Canada until June 2009. So if you are worried you cannot get to the great country of Canada to experience Wonderland or Niagara Falls' attractions, fear-not. You need not fork over $110 for 1 day of fun for a couple years.
If Wonderland got Dominator from Geauga Lake, that would spell the end of Geauga Lake altogether, but it would certainly make a great coaster because the layout & intensity of Dominator is definately a top tier coaster.
However, an original brand new B&M would be sweet... but without any validity of the rumor (ie: screamscape ;))... it doesn't seem to be a true rumor, as of yet.
Per Screamscape:
2008 - New B&M Coaster - Semi-Confirmed - (6/15/07) Screamscape sources have confirmed that the park has plans to build a new coaster for 2008. The station will be located across from the Italian Job station and if the rumors are right, this will be a B&M coaster standing approximately 200 feet tall.
Hmm.. "SEMI" confirmed? That's stronger than just a rumor... I wonder what sources Lance has, that would make this such a strong rumor? I guess that's better than a new flat ride... especially since the park went 2yrs essentially dry without anything new to offer (and attendance was flat because of that).
Anyone recall Kinzel's plain dealer interview a couple months back in which he pointed out the fact that it takes about three years from concept to finished product for a new coaster to be installed? We'll just have to see where this goes but isn't this type of thread against TOS here on the buzz?
One more thing:if CF is building this it wouldn't be from B&M as CF has a history of favoring intamin or chance morgan for their hyper coaster projects.
What are Raptor and Mantis?
I don't remember the exact quote so someone correct me if I'm wrong. At the CoasterMania Q&A, Dick said they have gone with Intamin for the past few projects, because B&M tend not to want to build coasters with custom layouts. I think they definatly strayed from that thinking with Tatsu. I'm interested to see what B&M turns out in the next few years. *** Edited 6/17/2007 5:04:23 PM UTC by Jason Hammond***

Raptor, Mantis - Original
Talon, Hydra - Original
Silver Bullet - Original
Dominator - Original
Patriot - (semi) Original - debatable, but still unique elements
And if we take it outside the company, Dueling Dragons, Chang, Iron Wolf, Apollo's Chariot, Alpengeist, Sheikra, Griffon, Air, Tatsu, Riddler's Revenge, Incredible Hulk, Kumba, and others are all originals.
What I'm also thinking is that perhaps at the time B&M had something else on their plate, and they didn't have the resources to design an additional custom layout along with the others they were working on at the time. (that and the push-the-envelope factor that I mentioned earlier :) )

Yeah, I'd like to get an exact quote on this.

That is not accurate. Current requirements as of January 2007 are that you are to have a passport if flying back, into the US from another country. This was modified on June 8th where you need a passport, or proof that you passport has been ordered.

Starting in January 2008 passports will be required for re-entry to the US for all travel including land.

Here is the information that is out there, as per several sources I have near and in the park. Most people don't like rumors, but this is the information I have and you can put it all together.
The ride's track will be steel and a mile long, and will not have any inversions (according to specs used in the tender process to hire contractors). Construction will begin in a few weeks as the majority of the ride will be built outside the park. The proposed location of the ride is behind the new Coaster's restaurant, between Italian Job and Sledgehammer.
The other information I've heard (B and M, Dive Coaster, etc) are not things I've heard anyone close to the project discuss. Not saying they're not true, but hearing the length of the track and no inversions, obviously leads me away from Dive Machine or Floorless, and points back to Hyper.
Any way you look at it, 2008 will be a big year for Wonderland.
