I really would like a Woodie. But time will tell. I don't think they need anything but its always nice to see a new face in a familiar crowd.
Thanks,

If I had my way I would take a nice wooden coaster as well. And you are right, only time will tell. In addition, they will make the right decision.
You've irritated so many people here that anybody who has never been to BGW, will probably want to go now just to see how much crap you're really talking. You've actually been some of the best FREE advertising BGW could ever ask for, and all because you didn't know when to shut up!
And if parks that cater to senior citizens and children are your weakness...I suggest you avoid every major theme/amusement park in the continental United States. The writings on the walls, they're all doing more family friendly rides/attractions because they know it will bring the people. Anybody who calls PKI their home park knows this for sure. When the parks build what the people want, the people come to the parks, and when the people come to the parks the parks make money, and when the parks make money they build new attractions. Sometimes those attractions come in the form of these really neat creations you seem to know very little about...we call 'em roller coasters!!

there is only 1 giga coaster in the world. I will never be able to understand that
That's funny. I've ridden 2 giga coasters. One is taller, longer, and faster than Millennium Force. (No, it's not Dragster or Kingda Ka, nor is it Superman the Escape)

Local zoning is very strict in regards to BGW's height and noise, largely due to the oh-so-posh Kingsmill resort/subdivision right next door (The neighbors don't want to see or hear any of the coasters.) Of course, this necessity has been the mother of some wonderful invention, like Alpengeist, but it's also why Apollo is practically a parking lot coaster (As far from the neighbors as possible)
Drachen Fire's failure is largely blamed on the fact that people had to hike so far back to the station. If they're ever going to use that site again, they are going to have to either add a whole new 'land' back there to draw people in (which I doubt) or find a way to place the station right between BBW and the Festhaus, not way out in BFE like DF's was.
I believe the site was chosen b/c it had a slope down from the station, which allowed a higher drop with a little less of a lift, but I could be wrong.
Edit: Maybe so, Peabody, but we all know White Cyclone was the REAL reason to go to that park. *** Edited 6/7/2005 4:21:39 AM UTC by ThemeDesigner***
I agree that Hershey and SFGAdv is not in any competition with BGW. How far apart are they from each other? Like at least 6 hours, right?
About Darkastle instead of a new coaster, i think BGW has been going into a different direction than other parks, much like PKI is starting to do now. They do seem to get a lot of new themed show attractions, like motion sims and the like.
Everyone I talk to about BGW tells me it's one of the best parks they have ever been to. They have something for everyone; very classy if you ask me.
Secondly, any coaster 300 ft. or higher is a giga technically right?
Thirdly, have they chose B&M for their last 2 coasters because that Brand is significantly quieter?
