Kyle Fobe was a popular whipping boy for a couple weeks, then he figured things out and it all went swimmingly.
Since then, I have retired from TR posting, and try to help the people (Adamforce, Youngstud, etc.) that act like I once did, an attention whoring kid. Only they've one upped me and did it on the General Buzz forum.;)
In the years I have spent here I still don't understand why people need attention on a board like this. Furthermore, I don't understand the way they go about getting it, maybe they just need to learn the hard way, like me, that the best way to get attention is by acting like a normal human being.
Now that TR was a true story, I didn't make it up for attention whoring purposes, or whatever, I will still standby my original claim that it was a trip report, albeit a controversial one.
Now back on topic, everyone does deserve a chance, but everyone also needs to learn that people don't care about what they think as much as they think people do. Mostly because their thoughts are useless, not to mention unreadable.:)
By the way, 'Playa & Tekno stop hating already, you both speak on how people should be civilized on this board and not be at eachothers necks, or be attention whoring, and yet both of you sit there and go at eachother for every stupid mistake or every little tiny thing each of you say.
That's probably not setting a good example for all the new posters, and in some ways it makes both of you sound like hypocrites.
It's probably not my place to say that, but someone has too, or else you two will never stop.

But one thing a lotta people just...don't...get is that I don't just run around thwacking people on the head. Behind the scenes, you have no clue how often I get the Obvious Signal--or in a few instances who flashes it--only to have me click someone's eagerly-offered link and say nope, not this one. Not yet, anyway.
I don't get mad at people. Either I debate an issue or point out what's funny and that's that. Sometimes I'll suppress my chuckles and try to warn them--over everyone else's head if I can--they're worth a couple dozen successive punch lines. Do they get it? More often than not, no! But it's offered nonetheless...and then the comedy ensues.
I'm here (when I show up) for a good time with grown folks. If a few people don't get that...well, that's their issue. I've hung out with people I've locked horns with online in the past and everybody had a good time. I'll do it in the future, too.
Reality check, people: They're little words that float in cyberspace. Can ah git a Theory of Nobody?

Everyone but Youngstud - We all engaged in mostly mature, intelligent discussion about Busch Garden's future.
Youngstud - Unsuccessfully and repetedly trolled his opinion that the park sucks, time and time again, resulting in an only negative opinion of his posting .(read: labeled as a troll) In addition, no one agreed with his ideas. *** Edited 6/9/2005 3:56:57 AM UTC by Peabody***

No, no...Gonch in my boytoy, not Tekno!
Ooooh! Can't wait until morning so I can tell my wife I'm a boytoy and that I have to leave her.
I'm packing my bags and I'll be on the Greyhound in the morning.
You will 'keep' me, right Moosh? In a sugar daddy sorta way.
Isn't that like wearing a neon yellow T-shirt with "I'M COOL" written on it in crayon?
Yeah. Thought so.

I haven't had the urge to go back since my last visit which was in 2001. It's a fairly long haul from Baltimore, and I think I've ridden what's there enough to not put in the 6 hours+ drive back and forth (not including stops for gas and food). I'd rather go to Kennywood in that amount of time (which I did two years ago). There's no doubt that BGW is a nice looking park, but maybe from overexposure it has started to feel stale to me.
As I've stated previously, I'd like to see them update their flat ride collection. I think a ride or two from the Huss catalog like a Frisbee and/or a Top Spin would look great and could be themed well as to not distract from the appearance.
Also, I like I-Fan's point about flats....BGW (and BGT) could sure use some of 'em....as could the Sea World parks....what's A-B got against flatrides, anyway?
Eesh, I guess you have a point there, Gator. I think BGT's adult flat ride and coaster count were pretty close to even.
Maybe cuz it's the last thing you'd wanna do after a brewery tour?
