Busch Gardens Williamsburg Future?

Look at KK, Kyle....same deal. Likely the park requested it. *** Edited 6/6/2005 4:39:19 AM UTC by Peabody***

I know PKD has one a few hours up the road, but what about a Roto-Drop? I would love to see the park from 300 feet up.

Peabody, I agree 100% about wood at BGW. I would love to see one there, but in the end, would they take care of it?

What about another Sheikra style coaster? Maybe not because they already have a hyper.

BGW is cool whatever they do.

They dont' even need a new attraction necessarily. Most people will comeback anyway...:)

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

Where could they build a new coaster? Where would be the best place for one?
BGW: The Worlds Most Beautiful and Boring Theme Park! I saw a sign at the park that actually said that.
That's it, Kyle. They don't need new coasters to define who they are and desperately draw in new guests like many SF parks. Theya re a park in which the attractions serve to enhance.

They really need to build one over the rhine river and that bridge and have it go under water. That would be sweet and everyone would love it especially if it was a launch at 140 mph!
That's a toughie, Dexter. You can likely eliminate the old Drachen Fire site. Location was a part of the ride's downfall. (among "other" things :) )

A smaller B&M drop machine wouldn't be a bad deal. I'd say it would be at least a couple years, though, if the whole rumor about B&M not building any for a couple years as an exclusivity clause with BGT. But I wouldn't be too suprised to see one at BGW at some point.

I wouldn't mind seeing a nicely themed drop, a la the one at Terra Mitica. Another dark ride would be an enhancement, but, then, you can never have enough dark rides.

I just really need to get there period.

The exclusivity clause is probably not true. The one major plus side to a drop machine would be the marketability. It is unique amongst all the competetion.

I can only see a coaster in the old DF site if the station was somewhere else.

I'd love to see a beastlike woodie. Maybe they could use Plug 'n' Play. Wouldn't that be easier to take care of?

A small launch like Storm Runner would fit in well. Those small launchers are so much fun.

I never considered plug and play. That might solve their wood TLC issues.

For the last time, we all know that BGW is done building roller coasters. They have the Fear the Four shirts so everyone should know that BGW is done building coasters.
I know something even more boring than BGW. Anyone else know?
CP had a fab five or something like that shirt before they built TTD. And yes, I do agree that BGW is much more interesting than reading trolls.
True...that was a generic shirt that Cedar Fair, Busch, and Six Flags had for several years....now let's ignore the trolling and continue with the real conversation....

Dexter, while I admit that a SR like coaster would be amazing, I have to wonder if they would want something different because of Hershey so near. The biggest "unique" type might just be a dive machine. No one but the sister park has one in the hemisphere.

I'd think they'd put in another sitdown multi-looper. It'd be a 'sorta' replacement for Drachen Fire. Probably B&M with Busch's track record at all their parks.

And since the Floorless has become the standard B&M sitdown design, it just spells itself out. ;)

I don't understand that. Not saying I don't agree, but they already have LNM. Why did they build Drachen Fire and why would they need to replace it now? They also have Alpie. I still think they need a terrain woodie. They have the best terrain around.
I think a terrain woodie would be awesome, but that's just ehe enthusiast in me. Would it be a draw? How would they market it? Here's a serious question....how did they even market soemthing like Apollo's Chariot. It wasn't the "-est" anything.

I haven't read all 6 pages of this thread (Don't you wish you could filter out all responses from certain posters?) but has it been mentioned that even if they wanted to (which I doubt) BGW is likely unable to build a 300ft Roto-drop or a top-hatted intamin Rocket due to the height limit issues?

How about a Drop machine that loads in Italy (entrance between the garden of invention and San Marco?) and plunges into the "River" (Cough **lake** cough) across from BBW, twisting back towards Apollo's Chariot's turnaroud. Imagine if it did a barrel roll over the train tracks!

This would be a good solution, as its lift wouldn't need to be very high to get a good drop, plus it would get another major ride in the front half of the park.

Personally, even though Darkastle looks cool, I have to wonder if it was the best way to spend that much money. I think it'll help this year's attendance, but it doesn't seem like it'll support folks coming back again and again the way that Alpie and Apollo do. It's been 6 years since they added a coaster, and in that gap they've lost 2. Time for a new one, Darkastle or not. *** Edited 6/6/2005 6:36:20 PM UTC by ThemeDesigner***
