Oh Oh Oh.

Dale from Dayton

No no no, no no no-no-no, no no no, no no no.

Maybe it's Adam West's Bat Comb.

Perhaps one of the inversions is a comb-over?

My author website: mgrantroberts.com

Banshee from Wiki:

"Banshees are frequently described as dressed in white or grey, often having long, pale hair which they brush with a silver comb, a detail scholar Patricia Lysaght attributes to confusion with local myths. "

They sent people silver combs with hair in it (media kits)... Has nothing to do with a bat or a coaster element.

Also from Wikipedia that is interesting:

"This comb detail is also related to the centuries-old traditional romantic Irish story that, if you ever see a comb lying on the ground in Ireland, you must never pick it up, or the banshees (or mermaids — stories vary), having placed it there to lure unsuspecting humans, will spirit such gullible humans away."

I hope that no combs were sent to coaster enthusiasts in Ireland.

I went to the site and it says an announcement will be made Thursday Evening.

I love the idea of the ride but I still think it's fake. I wonder if it could be for another park though?

Cedar Point will always be The Roller Coaster Capital of the World, regardless of the number of coasters they have.

The Bat was an old roller coaster at KI. It was the first suspended swinging coaster, and it only lasted 1981-1984, I think. It was famous, though. It, as I've heard, had no banking, 2.5 hour waits, and it broke down a lot. No other park would say "the Bat returns" except KI.

After riding both Gatekeeper and Raptor on media day I'm not surprised if this is a wing coaster instead of an invert. The only good seats on an invert are in the front row. The wing coaster design helps with more open seating.

theres no comparison between raptor and gatekeeper, raptor is so much better and intense.

Disagreed. Though I love Montu, Afterburn, and Raptor, I like Gatekeeper more than these three intense inverts. Why? The first drop is so much better with Gatekeeper. I love doing that half barrel roll 170 feet up in the air. Wow!

Im betting this is a throw off. Heck even CW's Bat logo is way cooler than that generic thing. https://www.canadaswonderland.com/rides/Thrill-Rides/The-Bat

I still see a invert

Oh come on...do you really think they'd make this same mistake again? Great job KI PR (Don Helbig)...keep people guessing in this new Internet era where just about all announcements are spoiled. Hilarious.

Kings Island PR is trolling enthusiasts now. That's pretty funny. (Also, good viral marketing. But mostly trollolololol.)

Invert Blueprints=real

Bat Website=fake

It has to be fake. It would be very dissapointing both because of the ride itself being another wing coaster and because of an anti climatic leak. I do think that the logo and concept of "bat returns" is pretty good though. Maybe it will be a project a few years down the road? Even though I don't really care for wing coasters it would be interesting to see them teasing us about an actual project that is still in its early stages. A replacement for vortex, perhaps.

They did the same thing a few years ago at Carowinds with White Lightning Returns. Logo and all.

I'm sticking with the deliberate decoy theory. If you look very closely at the images of the new coaster, they clearly demonstrate the new campground in the back.

How about answering this first before blindly speculating:

Does the description of the layout they provided match up with the layout that we've seen?

I don't feel like checking, myself. It seems unlikely to me though that Cedar Fair would outdo Gatekeeper this quickly.
