Suddenly, being told not to wear other parks' stuff to a media event is comparable to communism now?
I think that *would* be Fascism.....except for the fact that it's not. ;~)
Just like comparing people to Nazis for almost anything is insane, and disrespectful to the memory of the millions of people they killed.

My favorite was the lady who brought an "Execute cop killers" shirt to the Gatekeeper travel channel shoot and was not allowed to ride for filming.

You guys are a bunch of fascist communist nazis.
...and probably racist too.
Just so you know. I am a very nice guy in person, and I will go on a lot of rides that some people won't. Though I tend to move from place to place very quickly, and get frustrated with foot draggers. When I get into a park, I go on a ride frenzy, and all I want to do is ride all day with just enough breaks for the restroom, water, and a quick, but full meal.
I'm not very chatty while waiting in line for the rides. More of an observer of things that are going on around me, from the sometimes funny antics of some people. to the completely annoying. I just smile and say nothing to people who refer to the Raptor at Cedar Point as the Batman ride, or people who make up ride stats for blue streak, claiming the first drop is 150 feet, and it goes 80 miles an hour. So tempted to correct them..but, I just smile and nod.
And, if you need a riding buddy. I'll ride with you. I have been on countless rides with strangers, so a few more won't hurt. Always interesting to see what they have to say. And, sometimes I love to just people watch. My friend and I watched two guys posing at one of those photo shops for a fake magazine cover. They were a riot! Their finale choice was their heads on the bodies of two female celebrities on the cover of people Magazine. Just really fun.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
I just smile and say nothing to people who refer to Raptor as The Raptor.
And remember. There are no strangers, only enthusiasts we haven't met yet.

Not to mention no doubt part of Hitler's top secret gay Nazi master race...

(Woe. I do not how to do that link-y thing-y.)

Wow! This thread has gotten super entertaining. I want to like every single post on the last 2 pages, but I don't want to be "that guy." So instead I'll contribute nothing to the conversation except to say I wish I could join all of you and meet many of you for the first time. Enjoy your day!
All, stupid question. Any sense of what will be open for us that are caffeine impaired?
If I gotta get to the park before Starbucks opens...and I'm a tea drinker...I'm a bit concerned that I won't be my normal feisty self. Folks tend to forget us non-coffee drinkers.
Also, I can't find the confirmation email that went out last week. For someone who received it...can you tell me who the sender was so I can search in my flooded email boxes.
Thank you. My brother and I are really looking forward to Thursday and Friday!
Hmmmm... There's a 24hr Speedway offa 71 at the northern exit for Kings Island, across from the McDonald's. I'm not sure what they have for tea, but I bet you could get a nice cup of hot water and bring your own bags just in case.
Oh, and my email came from Don Helbig. The title is Banshee Media Day Information.
I've been a long time CoasterBuzz reader (and listener back in the days of the Podcast). I attended GateKeeper media day last year and met up with a few people I had known from PointBuzz, but there was no good way to meet other new people from CoasterBuzz. I attended BeastBuzz and was finally able to associate some user names and avatars to real names and faces.
How about some sort of specific CoasterBuzz meet and greet time at Banshee Media Day? I suggest we try to meet up right before the Opening Ceremony (9:25 to 9:30) in front of the store in Action Zone (whatever they are calling it now).
This should work if the setup is anything like it was for the Banshee announcement last fall. If and when they call for each coaster club to show there representation we can all cheer together.
