2010 summer Coaster Plans?

I can assure you, my plans rarely go well. It would be interesting.

Dave - I do have a CF Platinum Pass so I plan to get to KI early for ERT. On their website, it appears as if the ERT is only for Diamondback and Beast? It would be nice to get Firehawk out of the way early.

LK - I will make sure to check out the caves in Camp Jurassic. That sounds like something I would really enjoy. We are staying at the Royal Pacific Resort so it would be easy to get back to the Pteranodon Flyers early but we'll see.

AV Matt - the weekend of Coastin by the Ocean is the weekend I already had been thinking about going to Morey's. I am not a member of a coaster club though that is the only problem. I just use my season passes for SF, CF, and the like for the perks. Hmmm, I may have to join CB. Many of the reasons you mention are why I would like to get down to Morey's, the dark rides, rides you can't find elsewhere, the waterparks aren't really cookie cutter, and the boardwalk atmosphere.

Frankenstein's Castle sounds similar to Ghostwood Estates at Kennywood. I've been through there about 4 times and I still don't think I've seen all the scenery.

Is there anyone planning on attending Coaster Con?

Frankenstein's Castle is NOTHING like Ghostwood Estate. It's not a ride, but rather a walk-though (like Noah's Ark, but way more extensive) that you can spend a good amount of time in.

Don't miss the Morey's event. It's worth ponying up the money for a membership if you can't find someone to sign you up as a guest. The event price is a huge savings over what you would pay any other weekend.

Crazy, Kennywopd is quite a bit more of a drive for me than Knoebels and now that I have a puppy keeping me busy, it's much harder for me to do casual trips, so I probably can't make it, sorry. But you never know. Kennywood is one of my most favorite places in the world.

If you wait by the Coney Island rope in Rivertown at the end of DB/Beast ERT you can easily get on Firehawk's first train of the day, even with "just" walking.
