You like IJ = Enthusiast
You don't like IJ = Enthusiass
Not hardly. No, I don't always like bigger and faster. One of my favorite coasters is Wild Cat at CP. I just found that the ONLY thrilling part about IJ was the launch after the helicopter. The rest put me to sleep.
"It is statements like yours that separate the Enthusiasts from the Enthusiasses."
Wrong, jackass.
Or maybe I misinterpreted your post.
or maybe you misread my original one. (moosh got it, you didn't)
Either way, a statment like yours smells like it came from an enthusiass anyway, "I'm probably going to visit PKD for the first time next year. I won't ride IJ as it won't be any better than PKI's. So no, I won't ride it anyway. And, if I do go to PKD and PKI, I won't ride either IJ. Boring."
And wait, You like wildcat and yet insist on calling IJ boring? Perhaps you need to ride IJ again.
Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.
I said that I was planning on visiting PKD next year for the first time and no, I won't ride Italian Job and yes, I was one of the ones complaining about the ride. Get it?
Wild Cat is thrilling...IJ is not, IMO. Wild cat has quick turns and frequent dips. IJ has a couple of dips and slow turns.
"And wait, You like wildcat and yet insist on calling IJ boring? Perhaps you need to ride IJ again."
No, I rode it twice and it didn't get any better the second time. If I have to ride a coaster 10 times in order to convince myself that I am enjoying it, then no thanks.
That comment was never directed at you in the first place.
And yes pete, if I lived in that area, I would be looking forward to it.

And to think, at $50.00 a head they charge more than any other Paramount park, if that ain't a slap in the face for us locals . . .
When you have PGA for your local park Batwing, then you can complain to me about your local Paramount park getting jacked every year.

At least those coasters differ from park to park in design and layout. PKI & PCW's Italian Job's are mirror images as best I can tell.
But...I suppose it's a little too late now.
I hope they at least may be able to add scenes from the upcoming sequel to the new rides. That might help. *** Edited 8/12/2005 2:34:35 AM UTC by Floorless Fan***
It may very well turn out to be a custom job....after all when PKD added Ricochet it turned out to be a different layout then the version PCAR recieved the same season....besides those ground hugging overbanks look pretty sweet especially for those of us not fortunate enough to get out to CP for MF or SFGRADV for Nitro with it's hammerhead. *** Edited 8/12/2005 2:52:02 AM UTC by BATWING FAN SFA***

Well some of us havn't been on a floorless(or any B&M's for that matter) & want to try them ok?

As for BGW you've got a great record setting B&M invert,a somewhat decent hyper(S:ROS kicks it's butt IMO though) & two superb classic Arrow coasters with LNM & the end all be all of Arrow suspendeds with BBW & great theming so what can you really have to complain about at BGW? other than the removal of DF of course.
I'm a little confused, are you saying you have or have not rode a B&M? Because if you haven't, how can you compare S:ROS and AC?
A day at the park is what you make it!

I like the IJ:ST! But really, is this the coaster Paramounts big wigs think they should clone over and over again like Vortex, and esp. Top Gun?
Ummm, the Vortex name and the Top Gun name may be found in various Paramount parks, but the rides themselves are anything BUT clones....;)

You have SFMW (which I've yet to visit), Bonfante, and SCBB (which I was able to walk thru, but it was closed).....why on EARTH would you waste valuable free time going to PGA? ;)
Losing the Anton and the "Original flying coaster" certainly stink, but the employees there were downright hostile...and that NEVER makes for a good park experience...
PCW has the best employees, PKD the best steel, PCar the best wood, PKI the best family/kids areas...PGA...?
As usual, I just thought Gator needed re-iterated.:)
Clint, Gator always needs help, re-iterated....whatever. ;-)

Just think it's jacked up that they price gouge the locals here for what they offer (in addition to the $10 parking), then add big additions to all their parks back East, all the while ripping out ride after ride every year without replacements (this years casulty was our classic Troika, space is now used for the thrilling new SP processing que!). I guess they somehow have to pay for all the shiny new toys the other Paramount parks get.
Back towards the Paramount park that started this thread, PKD....wonder if THEY need someone who knows how to take care of wood? The answer: Desperately! ;)
Yeah, the fourth launched coaster for PKD!!!! Yet why am I not excited? Cloned? That doesn't bother me since SFA has all cloned coasters except Wild One. You would think lift hills are out of style for PKD.
Well if it wasn't a good ride, then it wouldn't be cloned again. I don't think this park will be on my list for visiting in 2006. I'm more interested in SFGAdv for the next two seasons. *** Edited 8/13/2005 11:44:48 PM UTC by SF Critic***
