I dont know about you but when I go to parks I want to be able to ride different rides since I travel quite a difference.
You and almost 0.001% of the park's daily attendance. Everyone else is a local. A local who DOESN'T CARE if the same ride exists at every other Paramount park in the universe, because each of those might as well be another galaxy away.
Consistency in product has been a bad thing since when?

Ohh well at least it's a coaster, not really the type I'd like to see at PKD(I so wanted a floorless) but it's a coaster none the less & that's saying alot more for PKD than a certain SF park they compete with in Maryland....who the heck do you gotta bribe to get a B&M...just one lousy B&M in these parts?
Who says Rebel yell is a badly maintained coaster? I'd agree that riding backwards is rough but the forward side was running quite nicely on my visit & they were actually racing the thing for once too.Anyhow should be an interesting off season this year.
Fun ride though, surprisingly peppy after everyone saying it was boring. I had a blast!

Clones = cheaper. Another business standpoint.
Most people don't travel across the country like roller coaster enthusiasts to ride different roller coasters. They just go to the park closest to them. Frankly, they don't care if there's another IJ:ST on the other side of the country.
Very good point.
Judging from what I have seen at both PCW and PKI, IJST is a major hit and the only people I hear complaining are coaster enthusiasts.
I loved them both. They have a nice kick to them that I didn't expect.
The launch isn't everything you know. ;-)
Did I just say that? :-0

Sounds like the perfect franchise to me. Anyway, Paramount already did this with Tomb Raider a few years a back.
How cool would a "Dukes Of Hazzard: The Ride" be? LOL!

Personally, I'd take Angelina Jolie over either of them, ANY day... :)
And yes, Paramount DID state that they were going to be more "movie-orineted", so this should come as NO surprise...
And I'm in the Jessica Simpson age catagory. :)

Imagine looking like Billy Bob, walking off a long, grueling day (yeah, right) filming Monster's Ball and going home to his missus.
That man's made a deal with the Devil that even made the horned one ask, "Dude, are you REALLY sure?"

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
Yeah, I noticed that too. haha
As a side note, just because Italian Job is getting a sequal does not make it a successful franchise. You'd be surprised how much a movie has to take in to be considered for a sequal...most have to just break even. *** Edited 8/8/2005 5:51:12 PM UTC by Coasterbuzzer***
What was really sad in reading some of these posts is how many people either had no clue or were just plain ignorant of the English language. The lead post was especially bad.
