That's making the assumption that a ride on an RMC is roughly equivalent to a ride on a Chance Yo-Yo...

Well, I don't have Siri. I'm too cheap to pay for being online 24/7. And a dollar eighty seven cents to ride a Scrambler is still over-priced :-)

And what rollergator said. I'm not in a park to get the maximum number of rides, I'm in a park to get the maximum number of rides I enjoy. Which, in descending order, are A) roller coasters and B) everything else.

If I measured value by number of rides ridden, I'd stop visiting parks.

I was just pointing out how easy it would be to calculate.

Getting older has made me appreciate going at a slower pace when visiting a park.

What LK said. When I was young (and dinosaurs roamed the earth :-p ), on our annual family visits to Cedar Point, I'd make sure to be at the front of the line to get in to the park; at the time, the park opened an hour before the rides did, so which ride to queue up for had to be carefully considered, so that I could be close to first in line for, say, Corkscrew or Jumbo Jet. The rest of the day was devoted to riding as many rides as possible.

These days? Mostly I go to enthusiast events to take advantage of ERT, and go explore the area once the park opens to the publc. If I'm just going to a park solo or with someone who, inexplicably, thinks I'd be fun to go to an amusement park* with, I get there when I get there. I rides what I want to ride if the line's not too long. Any rides I miss are still going to be there on my next visit.

*Seriously! Someone at work told me she wanted to go to Great America with me for that reason.

We did have a good time. We went during Fright Fest. She was enthralled with how the scare actors were "deeply invested" in their characters.

These days, I arrive when I arrive, and leave when I leave. Even at Disney, I don't get up to get to the parks at open. I would much rather close out at Disney park than open one.

It's not that I'm not an early riser, either. I'm usually up by 7:30-8 AMm I just have no desire to rush to an amusement park, or anywhere for that matter, until I'm good and ready.

I know i've ranked at least a top 20 list previously but it's showing as unranked again...

I am generally in the boat of "don't care about riding everything" but occasionally I hit a rather large, totally new to me park (for instance Canada's Wonderland in 3 weeks) and I feel like I want to try everything because there's basically no chance I'm going to be back. The boomerang, SLC, and Zamperla Flyer are lowest on the list because they are bad and I've ridden clones of them, but even the custom Dinn woodies I feel compelled to give a lap. Then there's thing like the Lusse bumper cars, the larson flyers, and a whole bunch of crazy flats which could be totally hit or miss.

I don't particularly want to wake up for opening or wait through hour long lines, but I also don't want to miss anything and I also don't want to pay $70 or whatever for fastlane. #FirstWorldProblems

CW has $50 Canadian fast lane plus, which is equal to about $37. If you ask me, I'd take that any day if you're not going back.

Hey, let's ride (random Intamin coaster). What? It's broken down? I totally didn't expect that.

Never seen that park less than very crowded. Unless it's raining, I'd get the FastLane.

There will *never* come another day when I wait 45 mins for a Volare. I'd skip the ride entirely...

Yeah, I would just spend the $37 on FL+

I've never ridden a Volare. So there'd I be in line... with my FL+...

What other choices do I have to try that back breaker? Rye? Coney? I know there are a couple around somewhere.

Every time I've ever been to Canadas Wonderland it wasn't very crowded.

Wait, those prices are in Canadian dollars? Holy crap. The bring a friend tickets (which I assume any CF Platinum pass will access) are listed at $23.

Edit: Yep. I email the park and those are the prices in Canadian dollars and my family's 1 Platinum pass will give the other 4 of us access to the bring a friend tickets. That's $17.35 US for a day at Canada's Wonderland. I can barely believe it.

Apparently. I'm not expecting to do another America trip any time soon. I'd rather go to more politically stable countries like Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan ;)

No, you've gotta go to the MOST stable ones in North Korea, Angola, Syria and Iraq.
