They are B&M footers, the picture is Banshee, and for God's sakes people I'm comparing for the sake of comparing and inferring. I'm not saying it's "concrete" (Get it?) evidence but it's a place to start. I mean half this forum is Intamin this, and damning criticism towards Intamin, that I even admit in taking part of, let's get some idea's rolling.
It would be pretty awesome if Holiday World got B&M's first launched coaster. Despite B&M never building one, I think LIM/LSM tech has reached a point of reasonably high reliability and I'm sure B&M could implement it well.
Something largely ground hugging, emphasizing speed and with a handful of inversions would be a perfect showcase for a new product offering from the company and a perfect addition to Holiday World.
This would have sounded like crazy talk a few weeks back but the blueprint, supposed footing shape and (apparently 4?) multiple projects underway at Clermont Steel have me guessing B&M pretty hard. The launched aspect is more of a guess gleaned from the early straightaway of footers on site and some of the clues from the tease campaign.
I should have made an important distinction in my post. Hulk is, of course, a B&M with a tire launch lift but B&M didn't design the launching mechanism. They have not designed/engineered a launched coaster entirely in-house.
From Wikipedia:
"The Incredible Hulk is the only Bolliger & Mabillard roller coaster to feature a launch system; however, this mechanism was subcontracted to another company."
That company was MTS Systems Corporation.
The pedantic side of me and other coaster nerds asserts they have yet to build a launched coaster. :)
I just finished my morning coffee at the new coffee shop in town and she wanted to video me... I had just lost my voice too. Just so you all know we aren't the only one speculating that this thing will have loop-de-loops.
Also for your viewing pleasure, Plunge's station is still standing strong:
Also, here is a look at the construction from Hyena Falls:
And this looks like it might be a neat little meandering walkway...
