Not sure why it's hard to understand that B&M Inverted Coaster installations didn't go down in number because of lack of popularity or outdatedness, but rather a lack of places that needed/wanted them.
You can't sell something when everyone who wants one has one.

Dude seriously. It's an invert. As it has been every time I've said so since April.
Yep. If you go read through the Kings Island 2014 thread, we (the forums in general) had B&M Inverted and the name Banshee pinned down within 16 hours of the park opening for the season.
If wishes count, many of us were saying the park needed the 2014 addition to be an Invert as far back as New Year's Day.
Which is exactly why I don't see the point in trying to be silly or play games or create decoys with the enthusiast crowd 7 months later.
I don't know if I buy the loyalty clause myth. Anytime I hear it, I think it sounds made up.

Exclusivity is real, and means I'm the only park in my "geographic market" that can have one. This definitely happens with rides...
"Loyalty" - in the sense that I get a discount for being a repeat customer....may also be real in the sense that it exists...but I don't think I buy that it happens in the rides marketplace. That's more for groceries...
IMO. ;~)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Lord Gonchar i do see your point about only the coaster nerds caring this much about the announcement, and it's a small percent of population. Having said that, they build the coasters to bring folks to the park, GP or nerds, so surely the park wants to unveil it the best way possible for maximum impact (more visitors). What i'm trying to say is this - the new coaster brings more visitors - the park even predicts the increased visitor numbers - so GP goes to park due to new coaster, so the proper unveiling of said coaster would be important to the park -and to us coincidentally.
If we are the only one's that care, why not make it fun for the ones that care about your product? I'd still maintain that even to the GP, the element is mystery is a good thing. Companies have been keeping their new developments under wraps in all sorts of industries (Apple, anyone?) for various reasons, why should coasters be any different? It creates buzz, for any product - however small, is better than no buzz
Looking forward to 10pm to find out what all the buzz is about!

ALL coasters use 300 year old technology... gravity
Methinks gravity has been around a little bit longer than that :)
