Didn't we just see a cable snap on one of these in the last couple of weeks?

Can't seem to find it now. I remember that nobody got hurt, the back of the rocket was left dangling though.

The Star Flyer seems like a closer match to a wave swinger than that rocket ride.

If I remember correctly each seat was held by cables but had chains as a back up.

Pretty sure that the Rocket ride and Star Flyer were made by the same company.

Yup. That would be Funtime. But as I understand it, Funtime is not providing the ride for Cedar Point. Rather, they've gone with another company who is producing a "knock-off" version.

Intamin has been so reliable. Makes perfect sense.

I wonder if Kinzel owns stock in Intamin?

What could possibly happen on an Intamin ride where riders, sitting in chairs, are suspended by cables and rotating almost 90* from horizontal some 300 feet in the air? lol

Well, at least there is a lake right next to the ride, so you would have a 50/50 chance.:)
