I've ridden all of these except the overseas versions and obviously Intimidator.

Six Flags over Georgia's Golliath is my favorite.

Okay, so which Intimidator will be better? I-305 at KD or the one at CW?

rollergator, not to be picky, but the Goliath at LaRonde is not a hyper. The total height is only 174' 10".

It's a large, non-looping steel coaster. I don't think getting hung up on arbitrary height requirements really makes much sense when parsing out genres.

If you prefer speed over airtime, Dominion's ride will be your fav. If you prefer airtime over speed you'll probably prefer Carowinds' version.

My sentiments exactly....a distinction without a difference. ;)

gator, waiting patiently for someone to build an airtime monster with just a vertical loop or two sprinkled into the layout. (In other words, when is Premier going to build a "new Anton"?) :)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

It's a hyper when you do the conversion from metric. ;)

Either way, I guess I'm doing a road trip to the southern states.

Somebody start BBQin' some racoon and tuneing the banjo! :)

I certainly hope you mean Carolina. Doswell is no where near as "deliverance" as that..

I really wish B&M hadn't dropped the dip from their hypercoasters after Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull. The first drops on B&M's '99 hypercoaster efforts are my favorite out of all the steel coasters I've ridden. After that, however, Diamondback and Behemoth take the cake (for B&M hypercoasters)-probably because of the redesigned trains. I really didn't think much of Georgia's Goliath which seems to be the favorite of the bunch for most. To me, it was about as forceful as Bull or Apollo without the remarkable first drop, which is the highlight of both coasters, and are the epitome of a first drop in general.

Oh, you actually play the bajo an cook BBQ the CORRECT way (using smoke and a slow fire)?

I may be from north (way north :) ) of the Mason-Dixon, but I know that BBQin' ain't grilling.

I've driven THROUGH Kentucky when I did long-haul trucking for a bit. The best things to come out of the Bluegrass State are horses and horsepower in the form of the Corvette. :)

Oh yeah, and the Louisvile Slugger.

I would have to say that the second hill on this ride looks pretty sweet coming off that massive first drop. I like the way it makes that sharp turn. Looks like it would be pretty intense!

No, he definitely means corn hole. That game is a staple on college campuses around these parts.
