Actually rollergator might have just hit the nail on the head...according to Wikipedia the project was suppose to be completed in 2007, but was pushed back until 2009, and from the semi-functioning website for the project there does appear to be a rollercoaster in the renderings.
If you check out the bottom of this article you'll see that they changed the bar codes in an effort to remove any park or ride identifiers.

Hyper CoasterWe have pretty much rules out a hyper due to what appears to be an inversion, but the first three mentioned coaster types are all capable of inversions. Therefore I believe these types can not be ruled out just yet.
I'll go ahead and rule out standup, based solely on the fact that the last one constructed was 10 years ago.
Hello old topic. lol
I really want to see CP replace their log flume before they build yet another thrilling coaster. How many coaster can a park have when it lacks such a staple attraction? Should't an amusement park's patrons expect a log flume when they visit?
If it is headed for CP, it's almost have to be a flyer or a dive machine. I'd hope for the latter.

Good example. MM keeps adding coasters without regards to rounding off their ride selection with flats. CP needs to add a flume, like last year.
A new coaster is exciting, and it does bring the business, or at least keep it from slowing down. I bet Kings Island will be packed this year with the addition of Dimondback.
Carowinds new hyper makes the most sense to me.

Well rounded collection? I would personally be 100% satisfied with a park comprised of just coasters. I often skip most of the flats anyway.
I am however thinking of purchasing wellroundedridecollectionbuzz.com :)
Many CoasterBuzzers aren't not just coaster enthusiasts, but park enthusiast as well. I like the total experience, but to each his own.

For me it depends on the park. SFMM has enough coasters to keep me occupied and interested all day, so I generally don't ride flats when I go there. At KBF I ride some flat rides on almost every visit because they don't have as many high quality coasters.
My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.
2010 total visits: SFMM-9, KBF-2
2010 total ride laps: 437
