Admittedly, I didn't even go near the construction area the last time I was there. What I did notice is that, as someone said previously, there wasn't much traffic in that area of the park. I was too busy enjoying the Hallow-Weekends attractions with my son to even notice that there WAS construction going on over there. We spent every other weekend all summer riding coasters and splashing water at CP/SC. I will be going there sometime in spring to get an early peek at what is going on and seeing "what's up" for 2002. I may even go in the next week or two and see if I can get close enough for a few pics......I'll tell you this, though. When I left CP on October 20th at 11:30PM, I stood in the parking lot for a minute or two, stared at the lights in the park on that warm October night, and felt as though I was parting with an old friend. Sentimental, huh? What was great about it was that I had already bought my 2002 season passes for my son and myself and am now looking forward to wearing them out as I did this year. I figure that by this time next year, my son will be posting here, too, and maybe even guessing about what CP will have in store for the next season. Eventually I will tell him that there is life beyond CP yet to be explored. And to reiterate my previous statements, my bet would have to be on a bigger, badder, TALLER impulse......and somehow different and unique. It's the CP way.
