Confirmed earlier in a Erie Times News article that it will have standard PTC rolling stock.

^^^Wait...I thought Waldameer was the park getting the new "single-car" PTCs....the ones built to compete with MFlyers.

Or was that a different ride and I'm confused? Happens...ALOT! ;)

No, this time you aren't confused. According to Amusement Today: (you can read the full article on their website, scroll down to June 20)

PTC president Tom Rebbie is quick to point out that his company’s new train will not be a conventional trailer-style set-up. Instead, each of the twelve cars will seat two riders and feature four weight-bearing road wheels per coach.

While Waldameer’s new coaster will be the first to use the new trains, PTC is actively marketing this attractive rolling stock for new wooden coaster projects as well as replacement trains for existing rides.

We finally have some wood! Three new photos and some old ones http://www.flickr.com/photos/rsscbell/

All my old pictures are still at yahoo untill Sept. for those who have not seen them yet. Nothing done topside in the park yet. I assume they want to keep the train running till the end of the season first.

Footers are in place on the other side of bridge for turnaround. Look like it will be a very tight turn as the footers are maybe spread out only30' wide and run right up to the property line near T.R.E.C.

Talking to myself here but anywho, I don't know what his source is but according to Lance over at Screamscape the new PTC trains WON'T be on RFII:

So if thats true, Who made the call? Is is price related? or will PTC not be able to complete them on time based on special new parts?

My guess is cost related. I've been told for some time that PTC had other designs available but it was cost prohibitive to the customer as for the most part their stock product is one size fits all.

Chuck, who hopes this is not true and new trains are in the near future. Why would they advertise it?

I'm guessing that PTC can't guarantee the new trains would be ready in time for the opening of the coaster and that's why the decision was made to go with standard PTC trains. I'm sure we'll see the single-benchers turn up on some coaster very soon.

It could be Waldameer who got cold feet too though, who knows if the trains will be any good or not.

I don't know where that information came from, as it has not been legitimately verified as truth yet, by any source other than ScreamScape. I have talked with Gorman and Nelson in the past, and I have e-mailed Gorman asking whether this information was true or not.

Either way it's nice to see the coaster finally taking shape. This is looking exciting now.
