Waldameer post major revision of Ravine flyer layout.

Well today is the last day of the season for Waldameer09/03/07. Went in for one last look around

before they closed the gates. Lots of peeps in the park at 1p.m. and I'm sure the lots will overflow by 3 or 4 today. Parking will definately be a problem next year after the opening of the flyer. People filled the T.R.E.C. parking lot Fri. and Sat.

Maybe I should run a shuttle from my house for buzzers the come up next sprring! LOL! Anyways I have posted more photos on flickr and will upload more often as work on the ride swings into high gear.

That looks awesome. I'll definitely be going to Waldameer for the first time next summer.

There also was an article on Saturday updating on construction. The ride is supposedly 20% complete, and the arch or bridge will be constructed sometime in December.

Second speed bump profiled and turnaround wood lamination progresses nicely. posted several new pictures on flikr for your enjoyment. Also new are no trespassing signs near the ride site.

Rob, yes that is on the other side of the road, next to the Tom Ridge center.

Drove by on Saturday and looks as if they are working hard on the park side of the coaster, they are working up by Sea Dragon now, my guess is working on the footers up there near the old railroad and working on station prep.

Nice to see a tunnel is going to be part of the design. That seemed to be a lost wood coaster element until TGG came along with Hades and The Voyage.

^^ Yeah, that's true. It just seems that tunnels fell out of fashion for a while and it's nice to see them making a return. They really add something to a ride.

Just saw the construction for myself this past weekend. It looks SOOO nice. Its going to be impressive going over the bridge, I hope it doesn't cause any car accidents.
