SFNO's Batman being dismantled

I came across this thread at RRC. I wonder if it was sold or is going to another Six Flags park? For anyone that listened to the entire conference call, did they mention SFNO at all?

Wow..........didn't know this was happening. Probably for the best. They should send it to 6Flags Darien Lake. *** Edited 12/14/2006 4:22:23 PM UTC by RoarsLoudly***

Every *other* B&M gets built, stays put, and is wildly successful...

Maybe Gambit was a cursed piece of steel?

Maybe it means doom for whatever park it goes to!

SFFT should get it... they need an invert, and what better than a Batman clone?

Wrong chain. Besides, isn't Michigan's Adventure already getting X-Flight? ;)

SFFT would be the only candidate as they're the only park without an invert in the SF chain.

Why is everyone suprised by this?SFNO took a big hit thanks to Katrina after all so it's not like the park was going to re-open anytime soon.

SFFT is allready getting a spinner this year, highly doubt the chain's current management is going to give a park two coasters in one year.

Besides Sea World allready has the exact same ride.

The real question is: is it coming down to be relocated or is it coming down because it is now structurally unsound?

Why SFFT? Isn't Great White at nearby Sea World a clone of the ride already?

They did say that it's going to be SFKK's biggest expansion. T2 for Batman The Ride sounds like a great idea. Why shouldn't they remove those rides? They obviously aren't going to open it.

They sounded like it wasn't doing good in the first place, and then Katrina came. They wouldn't get enough staff, and they want to get out of the contract. Why not get those rides out of SFNO, and then get them out of the lease?

I was just thinking the same thing. Is this the only B&M to ever get moved? And now it could be happening twice?

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

Yeah, it's the only B&M to be relocated.

As for SFKK, as great as the idea sounds, why replace an SLC with another invert? We would know the difference but I doubt it could be marketed. What would they say? "We replaced a 100 foot tall, 5 inversion hanging coaster with a 100 foot tall, 5 inversion hanging coaster."
