Where's an inversion?

Are there anymore pictures of the inversion? I'm excited now! :)

You can see that the inversion is about 3/4 done from the Funcoast cam, but the picture is too grainy to really get a good feel for it.

Sooooo... they COULD stilll be going for the inversion record! 1 down, at least 10 more to go! ;)

I'd still like to see a higher-quality pic of it. The others were a little sloppy/blurry.

The point, in theory (not neccesarily fact), is that for a long train to make it over a pointy hill at all, the front and rear would have to crest at an unsafe speed.

All I know is that the last couple bunnies on S:RoS New England are taken somewhat slow and provide insano ejector air with pretty large radius of curvature (compared to say, dragster).

This doesn't look like it'll be a tall or high speed ride. But even if it never goes above 70' or 50mph for the whole ride it could still be very inversion heavy. If we assume that this is a LIM launched coaster, then there's no reason to launch to a high speed, then coast through the course with elements getting smaller and smaller as the train's KE decays.
If you were going for a twister with lots of inversions, it'd be smaller and cheaper to launch to maybe 45mph, go through some elements, then relaunch back to 45mph, hit a few more and continue on in that fashion. The advantage would be that you wouldn't need to spend the money for a 200' first loop. Basically you'd have a little "boost" section every thousand feet of track or so and size all your elements to be interesting at that speed. The only downside to this is the number of sensors and electrical bits that would be required. But its Intamin, hugely overcomplicated electical and control systems seem to be a point of pride... *** Edited 8/24/2006 2:01:04 AM UTC by Comatose***

All my reservations about P'07 are slowly fading away.

Who knows what the 07-project will turn out to be right now.Im thinking the same as others are about it possibly being a inversion record breaker.Its sad if that is true but whatever this will be im sure CP will make it enjoyable as the other coasters. I was hoping for a record breaker for height and speed as we were told in the past.

If that's true, it starts off on a lift hill, then cycles, then the lims take over, and it's a LAUNCH!!!!

It certainly would be unique but I have a hard time believing that they would spend their money on two systems such as that.

I bed Cedar Point designed it in NoLimits...

Anyway, Comatose, you say they would save their "200' loop" money for another section of LIM's? The cost isn't even close. The LIM's would be much more expensive.

I, for one, am sad to see the inversions. OTSR's all the way. :(

Even if it didn't have any, I bet we would still be seeing OTSR's.

According to that NL model, there are two stations (the brown segments). Looks like somebody's dueling launcher wet dream to me.

And all of mine are coming to the fore. At this point I'm hoping for some sort of unique seat configuration because those low to the ground zig zags plus the airtime hill look amazing. With standard OSTR's? Not so much.

but Who said Cedar wasn't planning on building another record breaker. This is just a side coaster to put in. To put tht on the tally, so the SFMM has a run. It's not an Aquatraxx. If you've been to the park and taken a look (and have 3/4 of a brain) you can tell what's going on.

I guess I smoked too much of the funny stuff back in the day, because I haven't a clue! ;)
