As long as we're being crazy...

1) The train is going to leap a gap in the tracks. Provides an exciting new element and saves $197 off the cost of construction. (That last piece is always the hardest to fit in.)

2) In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, the park will release live turkeys from the top of the lift hill. (Mr. Carlson, turkeys can't fly... Oh my Lord, they're hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement!)

RGB, apologizing for the politically incorrect, yet funny as hell, reference to a 70's sitcom episode. Not really.

"No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!"

So....that little speck at the top of the lift hill on the on-ride simulation really wasn't a "left over piece of leaves" as we were told. It was a simulated live turkey.

Life is an amusment park -and I can't get off of the damn spinning teacups!

I was not misinterpreting, I was hoping. Although I still feel a little overpromised (wink wink). So when are we going to hear something? Paula said she did not want all the press kits being wrong all winter, so do we hear something the day before winter officially starts? December 21 is the winter solstice. So December 20?

Oh great were going to go crazy with hints again!!! Did I start what might be the second longest buzz?

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

Ok the whole thing about turkeys being dropped from a plane on the famous WKRP Thanksgiving episode...my former boss did that back in the late 1960's over Decatur, IL. One of the turkeys crashed through the window of the local department store narrowly missing a pregnant woman. He later sold the story to the show.

About the secret element maybe there will be a bunch of LIM's that will accelerate the Voyage out of the park and through the turkey farm to the north. I can just imagine the scared look on all of those turkeys when a train flys through every minute or so. The big perk for the farmer is all of the feathers would be scared off of the turkeys so all you've got to do is kill 'em, dress them and throw them right into the oven. Yummm!

Have Fun

I can't believe I'm throwing in my thoughts on this, but I'd agree that I think of all the possibilities, it could have an overbanked turn, perhaps on the turnaround?

Makes sense to me. ;)

Or, what if they just made the first drop 71* to best El Toro?

Well, not that I can judge that based on the pics we've seen, but it sure doesn't look even close to that steep.

What is the purported angle again, based on prebuild specs?

Not to mention it would have to be more than 76º steep to steal the record away from El Toro...but we know that won't happen. ;)

Robbio, I *think* I recall Voyage first-drop specs at 66*....MIGHT have been 68*. I'd be VERY surprised if they changed Voyage THAT drastically. Especially considering the rolling stock considerations, etc.

Nonetheless, I've had every single one of MY *earth-shattering* rides on coasters that held no records whatsoever....well, maybe for "funnest"... :)

edit: What is Joe doin' here? Didn't anyone remember to lock the DOOR? ;)

Woah...Mike Sterling? On CBuzz! How ya been, man?

Reverse bank? There's a link on page 2 or 3 showing Hades' reverse banked bunny.

edit: here ya go! Notice banking is to the left but it turns to the right.

Thanks. But I think you got the wrong guy. So is this element fun? It looks like it would feel uncomfortable...

Oops...sorry!

How is the element? On Hades its pretty damn cool because you're still in the tunnel and can't see it coming. Uncomfortable? No.
