There is a message from the GM stating what the situation with the ride is on the site now.

For the real poop, check out my link, man...they talk about what happened! Shocking to say the least.

I'm VERY glad there were no people on it.

Yeah, that sound about as evil as the Big Thunder derailment at DL, but at twice the speed.

Okay, but TTD is only temporary (will be fixed today), while KK may take weeks, or even months, to fix. I support both parks, so don't go calling me a fangirl.

No, playa. I don't know this for certain, but TTD isn't broken like KK is, so it would only make sense. I'm not Kinzel, so I don't know for certain...... ;) *** Edited 6/15/2005 4:18:05 PM UTC by coastergurl***

You're wrong on that one!

Until they know for certainty that TTD couldn't possibly do that, they won't run it.

Same reason CF idled VF's and CP's perfectly functional Chaos rides the day (and I mean the DAY. Mid-day. Immediately) MiA's Chaos kissed the pavement.

They'd much rather spend a few million on the next attraction than settling with folks who rode one they had.

From CP website:

06/15/05

Top Thrill Dragster is currently closed. We are working diligently to have the ride operating as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

.....

Leads me to believe since they both have been down since about the date of the break of KK that TTD will not be up until both are updated with the fixes to KK.

Watch the tram car please....

The same sources that told you about cranes on Thunder Canyon?

Exactly...CP just has to Tighten this, or use this stronger bolt or whatever to prevent this from happening.

KK has to replace track, replace brakes, replace launch mechanics, replace major parts of train, etc!

I HAVE CANCELLED ALL BETS from the previous betting pool. Now taking NEW bets on when it will reopen! I placed mine for Oct 24th 2009 ;)

I feel for the people who made special plans for Gadv just to ride KK. SF should compensate by having promos on admission, food, etc. It'll be a class act if they do it, but I won't be surprised if they don't. I hope for the best and for KK to be operational as soon as possible with minimal problems. (Im glad to have my initial Kingda Ka-raving satisfied though, but I want MORE!!!!)

You won't see me coming...

Having all rides open and running multiple trains would be a good start! :)

Jason: Is that your bet? ;)
