My guess is that it's going to be big. That's all I have for you. *** Edited 6/14/2005 12:44:33 AM UTC by SFoGswim***

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

If it dives under the entrance road, isn't that also water in a small pond/lake that it would either tunnel under or rise up from? Looks like it on the overhead.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

Why would the footers be so far apart if the track goes underground at that point? ;)

Exactly, Maddie...I'm guessing over the road, not under it.

Not that I'm complaining about the proposed location of the new one, but I've always thought putting a hyper in the back of the park and incorporating it into the hilly topography (including taking out Ninja) would have been nice.

My big question is, are there any markings or flags that are unaccounted for which would make a strange looking layout more conventional?

Strange layout? I looked at it and immediately thought "that looks *kinda like* Nitro".

OVER the road certainly might make the ride more....say....VISIBLE from the Interstate...;)

Strange Bill, is what I call a B&M hyper without a straight drop. None exist. The most intriguing part about the said "diagram of dots" is pertaining to the first drop. IS that a partial turn before the drop? That's strange in my book, considering the NORM for B&M. Not to mention if that's where the helix is, I'm having trouble figuring out what the return home is all about and where the MCBR would be. Surely for this park and for how massively, enormously popular this ride would be, it has to have the MCBR so it can run 3 trains.

The coaster looks awfully short to me to be garnering words like "monster", quite frankly. :-/

Brian, who's still hoping for the BEST!

After riding Raging Bull, I would think the BEST would be an Intamin or even Morgan hyper. I was not impressed by any stretch of the imagination with RB, and would take Magnum or Millennium Force any day.

Homey - When I looked at the layout I envisioned the lift would be like Apollo, Kraken, Raging Bull, and Medusa West: it'll have a short, flat run before the drop. Like Kraken, that short run would include a turn.

If there is a MCBR it would be after the mid-course helix.

....just like Nitro's? ;)

bill, agrees that a ride on Bull would make ME think about getting a diferent manufacturer, LOL. If only SFGAm would *ease up on those god-awful brakes*...

Yes, Gator...just like Nitro. Although I hope this is NOTHING like Nyquil - I mean Nitro.

Why is everyone ripping RB? I love that ride (allthough Magnum, MF, and S:ROS are better.)

Lets not forget that RB also comes from a company who doesnt have people fly out of their trains and has yet to make a "dud." Believe me, I would love to have RB in my backyard (allthough I would turn off the trim on hill 3).

Why are most people betting on it being a B&M? An Intamin with a layout in the vein of SROS at SFNE or Expedition Ge Force would be the way to go in my opinion. Intamin makes the best hypers hands down. So what if a couple of people have died? At least they were'nt bored. :)

The footer markings are just like other B&M markings seen in the past. I assume the L and R mean the standard left/right B&M support columns.

Not trying to turn this thread into B&M vs Intamin, but just to throw in the other side of the spectrum-

Last summer I rode my first hyper by both companies: Nitro and SROS@SFA. Nitro came first and I was amazed, but SROS was extremely dissapointing(even after expecting less knowing the terrible layout). However, the situation could have easilly been reversed if I had ridden the good SROS vs Nitro or RB. While I would never be disappointed with Nitro(maybe RB though), I gather I'd be loving SROS@SFNE(or Goliath, EGF) a lot more.

My point is that it's the restrictions of the park/city/county/state that are going to affect this ride a LOT more than who builds it. Remember the same guy(Stengel) is designing BOTH companies coasters anyway.

Yes, but one builds *fantastic sleek low-slung* trains with deficient/defective restraints, the other builds "boxy European Volvo-looking (and riding) trains with flawless restraints....

Can I get Intamin hyper trains with B&M restraints? :)

Shoot, even the op at Iron Dragon told me RoS was his favorite ride in the whole world....when I suggested MF's trains on Maggie, he nearly choked before stuttering..."now THAT would give us (CP) an RoS-quality ride"....that's a CP employee there folks! ;)

Stengel is designing coasters for B&M?

Stengel designs for Schwarzkopf(designED), B&M, Intamin, Premier, Gerstlauer, + some others still. :)

I personally did not care at all for the Intamin hyper trains- it felt way too small and cramped, with the B&Ms feeling like you're totally free and clear. I also think B&M trains in general are superior just because they're shorter in length. This allows for a more dynamic pacing, and less difference between the front and back cars... for all of you who love Avalanche so much.. well part of that mad pace comes from the short trains. *** Edited 6/14/2005 9:31:05 PM UTC by Mr. Bubbles***
