New footer markings all over SFOG - discuss

Mr. Bubbles I agree with you al the way on those shorter B&M train. It is IMPOSSIBLE to find a better steel coaster train than the speedcoaster trains. Even if you are in there fairly tight you still have a feeling of more freedom or weightlessness. If you have 1/2 to 1 inch of space with the clamshell restraint versus a standard ratcheting lapbar like on Arrow or Intamin train you don't feel as stapled or feel that the B&M takes away the experience of the ride. Didn't Nitro introduced the new improved clamshell restrainst which now accomodates larger people? If the ride is full of airtime and not trimmed too much I'll take a B&M anyday over Intamin because of the trains! :-)

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the two ponds in the front of SFOG are drained now. From um... "hanging around" the park I hear the Gasp and Looping Starship are both getting the axe. They say that this new coaster is going to go over everything in its path, including the Scorcher and the main entrance to the parking lot and will come mere feet from I-20. I'll be sad to see Gasp go; as it was the first ride I ever had the pleasure to "hang-out" at on a regular basis, but I really can't wait to see this thing. After the apparent foul ups they've had this year, they're going to need something to bring in some money. "Skull Island" has been affectionatly renamed "Blood Island" as a result of people busting their heads open every 15 minutes; almost like clockwork. I'm sure the legal bills will start adding up rather quickly.

I think I disliked Raging Bull so much because of the trains. The trims certainly didn't help, but for some reason I felt more confined in those trains than I do on two-across trains (Arrow and Intamin) I also thought the pacing left much to be desired, and air time was non-existant.

S&S has yet to be mentioned...maybe they've finally realized that they aquired a company with years of experience, and one that is willing to fix their mistakes. ::drools:: I would love to see a new generation Arrow hyper. Gotta love those Toomer ejector hills!

Impossible? Maybe. That is, until you go to Kennywood.

Are you talking about the ones on Phantom Revenge. Not sure what they are like since they are not your usual Morgan trains but the Morgan train on Wild Thing and Mamba are the next best thing to B&M hyper trains.

The Morgan ones for the Phantom are different since the lap restraints had to fit on the old Arrow chassis. The side bar plus the racheting seatbelts are great and hassle-free, IMO.

Arrow trains suck, Morgan trains suck....but the hybrid trains ARE "the ruling"....CP should hire Morgan to come in and fix Maggie's trains, LOL! :)

I'd like to convince myself that SFoG is getting an Intamin hyper, but that ain't happening, so I'll *settle* for the Beemer....with the trains that everyone ELSE seems to like... ;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

No more Intamin at oG is why people are saying B&M. That and those ridiculously obvious B&M spray markings.
Dont hate on the Bull. Thats my coaster!
all you hating on the Bull probably didn't ride it back in the day when the trims were on minimally...so light you could barely feel them. It is worse now, though. But still a greate coaster.
SFoG is thinking about getting a new coaster that is great. I have heard this rumor for about three years now. I would love to have a hyper or even a floorless, but hey whatever coaster they get it will be more fun for me. The coaster I would love to see would be a replica of Mr. Six(the wild mouse).

There was a statement about running 3 trains to help eat some of the crowds. What about some more flats? like maxair or how about king chaos

I don't think at this point they're "thinking" about getting a new coaster.

Once footer markings show up, the parts are probably already fabricated somewhere.

Since Im sure everyone here has seen pictures of the markings so far and some sites have connected the dots...
Have more markings been indicated, or do you think that whats there is it?
I am trying not to get my hopes up until I see the begining construction.Yes I want a new coaster.SFoG is my home park and has been for three years now.

I am going to the park on Thurs. 7/14 and I definetly going to look for those markers and ask some questions.

The layout doesn't look very interesting, but it is a new coaster non the less.

Um, you could really say that about any hypers overhead layout. They're pretty much all straight lines with a few turns here and there. *** Edited 9/26/2005 11:44:57 PM UTC by Legendary***

OMG I have a new sig!!!
its definatly a B&M, the whole layout gives it away

SFOG new coaster. YAY
Well yea we've known that for months. ;)

i'm not sure what to put here..
