New coaster at SFMM?

I was *under the impression* that the power being turned off to Flashie was a STRONG rumor...short of fact, but better than say, Shock and Wave...;)

Considering Metro and SkyTower, I'd have to say they'll keep it standing....does Guinness demand that they all operate simultaneously? Or would a boneyard be able to be added into your "ride count"? Hmmmmm... ;)

It is SO like MM to get yet ANOTHER coaster - not a flat, not a (badly needed) dark ride, not expenditures for the infrastructure needed for the people who already go to the park, not maintenance for existing rides, or removal of SBNOs. ROFL!

If this new rumor is in fact true, I'm almost certain that SFMM is being run by monkeys.

With the horrible experiences that many of you have reported on this site, and many of my friends (non-enthusiasts) have told me about, why would this park EVER do this.

The complete imbalanace of rides, lack of maintenence, SBNO's everywhere, horrible customer service, screwed up pricing system, and recent park security problems are all evidence that whoever is running this park, needs to be fired.

Amen RCcrazy! And people wonder why I'd trade SFMM for almost any other park with far fewer coasters.

Six flags is no ordinary park its a x'treme park(lmao) I've been going to mm all my life but seriously they've been building a new coaster every year from like 1997 with superman till 2003 then i guess they took a break and are making another. Someones coaster happy or something. I mean de javu rarely runs it seems like and something about those houses the people who are moving into those houses are coaster feaks like us. well I'm just saying MM is getting a lil out of hand with everything

/\ Deja Vu runs just fine now - on an everyday basis, just to let you know. However, you might be confusing the Magic Mountain one with the one from Great America, and maybe a little less also - the one from Over Georgia. This shows how bad-mouthing and old misconceptions of rides in the past still sticks with people.

Yeah right. From who. The Great America one at of the 2001 trio opened the latest (more than a month after the Magic Mountain one opened), saw the most downtime following its opening, remained SBNO for quite awhile in 2002 and somehow developed ugly white patches at the same time.

Well, Deja Vu was down for, what, the entire month of March? And for 'maintenance'? Why do they need that long a time to 'maintain' the ride?

Yep. It runs really well...

And besides, not only is Deja not running constantly, I hear X is down often, Flashback is perm. down, Ninja went down when I was there, and how long was Supey down?

In his defense, coasters need to close in year round parks for maintenance. They don't have an off-season to do that sort of thing. I think Deja Vu actually is running pretty regularly.

Maintainence should be done in the off season, like they do at real parks. :) Can you imagine Hulk at IOA being down for "maintainence" days at a time in the summertime? Or the Mummy?

The Deja Vu at SFGam has been open everytime I have been there this year, and I have been there every weekend since the park opened, with little, or no down time. As far as the white patches go, I think you are refering to the paint. Yeah, damn Six Flags, they should be able to prevent paint from flaking off. *** Edited 6/14/2005 2:07:32 PM UTC by SFGamNut68***

Deja Vu at SFOG has run very very well since May. The only time it's been closed for me since then was because of rain, other than that It's been open every day I've been there

okay sorry I started all of this about the three Vu's I guess they are all running very well this year. Good to hear :)

Deja Vu 4 Life, I see you love Acrophobia, that's awesome. How would how compare it to an Intamin or S&S drop? Is it better, and if so why?

I've never been on any other Intamin drop, but I could say more for S&S towers. I don't find the seats terribly comfortable, and after the first launch or drop thats about it for the ride

That describes a majority of drop rides, no matter what the company.

Who in their right mind would think those were supports? And that color isn't even remotly close to KK.
