Because the government will pay for them out of your pocket and mine, stupid! ;) Because SFI is in such debt, the government is paying for this coaster with welfare money. It's a new Togo/Vekoma headbanger themed to the IRS....at the end the sign says "Hey...it's less painful than an audit!" OK, now someone more funny than I come up with a better govt. coaster idea :)

Kingda Ka's supports are teal/turqouis(sp?). Is there anyone that can get pics?

OK Captain Crayon, but aren't aqua and teal basically the same color?

As a DC character, yes he would be. That would actually be a good idea to theme a water coaster after Aquaman.

Captain Crayon? Is he Aquaman's Sidekick? Aqua has more blue. Teal has more green. But they are close.

My prediction: the record they're breaking is number of coasters in a park and not height, speed, or length.

Let us hope. I could care less about tallest, heck their last 'tallest' coaster was very 'meh'. World's Longest, Tallest, Fastest Spinny Coaster, however, could be fun :).

Mamoosh hit it on the head there getting the record for number of coasters in the park, not running coasters however.....

I was going to say. They have yet to operate all the coasters they have at the same time, and it's been well over a year. I wondering if adding one or more will help that or hurt that? ;)

Maybe they figured their old queues have gotten boring, so they need a new line for people to jump and start more fights. They're going for the record of "most simultaneous fights in a park."

Regarding the number of coasters at one park record, how long has Flashback been SBNO and is it done yet?

Flashback usually only operates sporatically in the off-season when the waterpark is closed. I believe what Peabody was referring to when he mentioned, "They have yet to operate all the coasters they have at the same time, and it's been well over a year." Was that when Flashback operates, there is at least one other one that is down for some reason or another.

Flashback has been SBNO for over a year. They didn't run it in the off season, so Peabody is correct. Infact, RCDB states Flashback has been SBNO since 2003.

I was there in the offseason, and it didn't run. Rumors had been going around that power had been shut off to the ride, but that is only Rumor. I've also heard they'll have it up maybe by next year. Who knows.

By "done yet", I mean do they plan to ever open it again or are they going to TAER IT DOWN?

Wow beating cedar point. Thats the one that hurts CP more than the tallest and fastest, but sometimes i swear that six flags management only concerns themselves with what would put cedar point in shame of not having a record. Its now a battle for supremecy of the six flags family vs. cedar point, because unfortunately cedar fair doesnt have too much to say with their other parks as far as going for records.

Whatever the thinking is here, hopefully they think it out better that trying to have a disaster on their hands. Make somthing fun for the family or just an all out fun coaster or whatever it maybe. Lets have a unique experience, not something that is just their to break records. Dont get on me about CP having wildcat or iron dragon, or mine ride, or counting kiddy coasters, the fact is they do offer something different. Just like Ninja, is up at SFMM. X is unique it would be cool if they find something new in the genre is well is all im saying.

Im also not hating on them cause this is one park i would really love to hit, but im poor and live in the midwest. One day ill see what magic mountain is all about. Cause i hear outside of the fights they really have some good stuff there. so dont think i hate it, or am bitter about you taking over the records. Its all cool competition makes it all better for us.
