New coaster at SFMM?

Those look plastic. Here comes another plastic coaster! ;)
wow lol those aren't supports...crazy how rumors get spread around here. They are clearly drainage pipes.

Score one for my AquaMan themed coaster... ;)
LOL! :)

He shoots, he SCORES! That was pretty damn funny.

I would imagine the rumor mill was started by someone who saw these things from a rather good distance away, like from the lifthill of Riddler or Goliath. They post somewhere that "supports were spotted." Hilarity ensues. Perhaps the pic wasn't taken until a few days later.

Besides, this thread gives all the SFMM haters a chance to tell us how much the park sucks, again. We all love reading that, right? *** Edited 6/16/2005 1:56:13 PM UTC by Soggy***

Pass da' sizzrup, bro!

Back on the subject of Flashback briefly, when I was there last month, and wandered over to Flashback just to show some guests I was with what kind of ride it was, there was a sign blocking the entrance to the queue saying the traditional "building for the future" spiel. I wonder if that means anything in regard to that ride finally being torn down, and made a location for new expansion? Anybody else know anything more?

Soggy, I would WAYYYYYY rather get a chance to say how much the park is "making strides". Stepping into *the wayback machine* to my first-ever SRM....I thought SFKK was pretty much a hole. Over the next couple years later, I saw significant signs of progress, and even though I haven't been back to SFKK since the last SRM, the DIRECTION that the park was headed seemed to be VERY positive.

It's all about "making strides". SFMM could, and should, be one of the top-5 or top-10 parks ON THE PLANET. I hope that SFI sees the potential, and puts a management team together at SFMM so that in five years' time I can say the same things about SFMM that I was (quite happily) able to say about the little chain park near HW...

Gator's key point is management team. IMHO SFMM's problems trickle from the top down, and at the top is Del Holland.

LOL, when I first typed it out mOOSH, I had put management team in bold. Then, since I know people who work with SFMM mgt., I thought it might sound a bit on the hostile side....

However, since you pointed it out, yes, that's PRECISELY what I'm saying....it was NEVER more evident than during the SoCalCon, and subsequent visits only reinforced my opinion.

Some may ask "So why do you go to that park so much"? Valid question....I never go to SFMM alone, it's always with friends...they're why I go, and it's a park I'd NEVER visit alone (see other thread)... ;)

They are actually the supports from the new large coaster building sets from K'Nex :)
Moosh, well if Cedar Point would ever get around to building those dueling hyper-flyers that replace White Water Landing, then it would steal SFMM's thunder ;)...and personally I think it would be hilarious since CP already did it once with MF after Goliath opened in 2000. *** Edited 6/17/2005 5:16:21 PM UTC by CPgenius***

Nothing I can share at the moment, sorry.

Yeah I know Cameraman, but I think Moosh may know something and he isn't telling just like Paula won't tell about the new additions at HW.

Well since I don't know, I'll tell: B&M flyer around rapids and the back hillside.

Wooptie-doo...you heard it here folks. And even if Knott's doesn't get anything new in 2006, you can bet the full price of admission I'll still stay away. Mmmmm perhaps...we'll see. :)

LOL Erick. That does seem to be the popular rumor going around.
^^

Too funny, so is it another Superman then, I mean SFGav has 2 Batman's so they could do that at MM right????

Well the lemon chill guy whose stand sits next to the Dippin Dots guy whose cousin is the Muffin Man down on Drury Lane told me that they were going to take Superman and put a top hat on it so they could "officially" count it as a roller coaster and make it like TTD and KK.

Oh my, is Monday over yet?????????

You know what's funny right? Those dueling hyper-flyers to replace White Water Landing is among one of the more far-fetched rumors going around. And even funnier is that while Millennium Force did steal Goliath's "thunder," Goliath held the record longer than MF did. Steel Dragon 2000 just rolled up too quickly on the Force.

Know what's funnier? One of them is currently operating and the other one isn't. :) In fact MF was the tallest operating coaster earlier this month since SD2k is SBNO and Dragster and KK were down for maintenance.
