Wow...what a brilliant argument. (and a brilliant first post!) Those little kiddie coasters like Raven and Legend suck big time! I'll guess I'll have to go ride a real one like SOB or Rattler! ;)

I heard it was opening to the GP on the 21st after we get ERT on Saturday morning at Coaster Celebration. I know I can't wait for an hour on KK, and ERT on Nitro at Night.

I think Peabody needs to go to Cedar Point one day and try riding Millennium Force which goes alot faster than any wooden coaster. Mite be too much speed for him though, I know woodies only go like 40-50 mph!!!

If you click on Peabody's profile, you will see the coasters he has been on. MF is on the list.

He's ridden Millie. So have I. So what? Speed has NOTHING to do with how thrilling a coaster is. Heck, Superman The Escape was the first coaster to break 100MPH and it is totally boring.

If you like fast coasters, fine. But DO NOT start telling others what we should like based on what YOU like.

Um...I've ridden Millennium Force dozens of times as well as 400+ different coasters. Big freakin deal. I've also ridden Steel Dragon 2000 (taller and faster) and TTD. Big freakin deal.

Try getting this through your head: Taller and faster doesn't equal better. It's not just me...everyone else on this site will say the same thing. In fact, most coaster enthusiasts will likely choose a good ride on the tiny little thrill coaster at Knoebels over most 200+ ft coasters!

The 13 fastest wooden coasters all do more than 60mph and top out just shy of 80mph.

There are only 14 operating steel coasters in the world that go faster than 80mph.

What am I missing?

Go enjoy the 14 steel coasters worldwide that are faster than wood, I guess.

I like big and fast rides, but there are some small slower rides that pack a real punch too. Go try Avalanche @ Timber Falls (way better than any Knoebels coaster ;) ) and then you will see what I mean.

I think the best approach is to treat him as if he's as invisible as his little 'friend' and get back to the KK discussion...

...mostly because I need it to open on or by Friday (to avoid both needless backtracking and the dreaded weekend park visit) and I have a feeling luck may not be on my side this week.

And I love how everyone thinks they know exactly what's going on because they bug the park reps incessantly and then run to their keyboard to cackle with the other little hens. ;)

Lets get 1 thing straight, I have not created another screen name to back myself or whatever you wanna call it. Streetglow1571 is actually a friend of mine and it seems like his opinion of rides is alot like mine. You couldn't pay me to ride another wooden coaster, I like being headache free when I am at a theme park. Smooth fast steel all the way and most people would agree with me. Steel is way more exciting and you can actually enjoy the ride knowing that your body isn't going to suffer throughout the ride!!!
