I was there yesterday and had a good look after getting off Zeus. The helix lines right up to go in between the existing vertical supports. It looks like they just have to remove one level of horizontal cross ties to eliminate hand-choppers.

That's interesting that they have to take out supports to make it work. It's like they're making it up as they go. If so, that's cool I guess. Hopefully they'll get plenty to drink before they design the next element.

As long as this thing is as out of control as Zeus and Cyclops I really don't care how much they design by the seat of their pants.

Maybe they needed to leave those supports in until the structure could be reinforced in other places. This is the Gravity group we're talking about- they aren't exactly beginners when it comes to this so I'm sure they know what they're doing with this coaster!

Sure...except the ride is being constructed in-house, not by the Gravity Group.

But they're following Gravity Group's blueprints. They have three wood coasters, I'm sure they know a little about what they're doing.

That may be, but I have trouble believing the blueprints specified installing supports, then removing them at a later date.

Well then it is possible that:

A) They did not follow the blueprints for the supports.

B) The supports were completed the way that they are for the purpose of proper supporting of the ride until they got to the point where they could take out some of the structure safely.

C) The plans were modified since the start of construction.

I do know one thing. This ride is already awe inspiring when seen in real life.

"B" is the one that I was suggesting. It is possible that the supports were installed with the intention that they would be removed once new structure can be added.

That is also the one that I am thinking is the correct answer. Although I know absolutely nothing about rollercoaster construction. It is the most believable of the 3 scenarios presented.

Then again there could be also:
D) This is part of the design of Hades, but it actually false track with intention to scare would be riders.

Though I highly doubt that one...even as cool as it sounds in my head.
