Hades @ Big Chiefs

That slab was constructed this week as well as the bank along side of Zeus. Good to see the progress. Could we have the first mulitple train coaster at Mt. Olympus??

After looking at the pictures again where does everyone thing the station will stand. The 3 coaster at the park now are all elevated stations that have some sort of drop out of the station. I would have to venture a guess that this coaster will follow the same trend.

My guess for the station would be to the right of the lift if you were behind it. That is the closest to the current walkway, but they could put it somewhere else too.
I was at Mt. Olympus Monday with Pinball Lord and got a very good look at the side view of the 135'(est) drop. It looks like easily at least 65 degrees or steeper! Anyone else heard anything about this drop! I hope it is steeper than Avalanche!
Time to kick this thread back up.

Lots of new pics at rcdb. The first hill looks awesome, the hill beside it looks like airtime, the helix looks cool and it will send the train thru the lift supports, and there is more to come.

I gotta get back and see it in person again and check on Avalanche to see if she is okay 'n stuff.

Wow... everytime a new piece of Hades goes in I get more and more impressed. A question though, where the helix looks like it's going to send riders through the lift supports, it appears that there's no cutout for the track to go through... is that just the angle of the camera or... ? Just curious. Hades is looking excellent, can't wait to see this beast finished.
I was wondering the same thing. They had not built that far last time I was there. One other thing I thought about was the possibility that the helix comes after the station. It looks like flat track right before the entry assuming it is going down, and that could be where the station is since it is right on the walkway. Another possibility is that it will go up the helix and into that flat track which will be the station and send the train toward the back of the lift. That last option is my guess.
It is a very interesting picture. Can't wait to see it all lay out.

I was up there last weekend and I can tell you that Avalanche is doing just fine :) One thing I noticed is, that the fuller the train, the faster the ride, and the more intense the air. I was purposely skipping rides just to wait for enough people to show up for a full train. I had one ride where everyone on the train was at least over 200 pounds and that freakin thing flew. I thought that I was coming out of the train on a few of those hills.

This coaster is quickly becoming my number one woodie in front of classics like Legend, Beast, Raven, Ghostrider, and Viper.

Certain victory.

In the terms of the movie Office Space "Think I'll show my 'O' face." This is going to be one heck of a ride when it gets done. Just by looking at the lift hill from the ground up, it looks big in itself. Can't wait to see it completed and take a trip to the cheese state to try out GG's 1st coaster.

No, this is Wisconsin. ;)

Gravy buffet!

I was there this saturday, and got a lot of construction pics. I uploaded them to webshots, so here you go!

Thanks Cameron for the slideshow. Awesome baby.

I would suggest however that in addition to the detailed closeups You get some shots from a distance so we can put things in perspective.

Anyhow, Thanks dude, We're on our way in 2005!

Chuck, Not a credit whore but a wooden coaster credit whore!

Charles, there aren't any really good angles to get pics of both sides. The Dells is wierd, you can see the ride from a mile down the freeway, but you cant see it a few blocks down the street.
Doesn't matter... what I can see looks mighty nice ;)

Everyone seems to be talking about the first drop but did anyone notice the speed hill developing out by the turn-around? That's gonna be quite a thrill coming over that and dropping back down into the tunnel!

I was just thinking about that hill. It looks like they are finally doing more work on it. I still think it will drop thru that hole in the roof of the tunnel with great air and a killer head chopper.

I still don't understand the end of that helix that looks like it goes right into the lift supports.

The hill back over Zeus looks awesome. I like how it drops all the way down. Again, another possibility for great air.

Thanks for those pics Cameron.

The park has been blessed with a great landscape for wooden coasters. Hills galore. Can't wait for the next batch of pictures.
