Hades @ Big Chiefs

Well, nathan, I'll have to remember that ;).

Regardless of who said what, bla bla bla, this coaster looks amazing. Chuck, did he say anything about red lighting or smoke/fog effects in the tunnel, cause it would be hella cool.

Clint-goin to hell in the Dells eventually, b.

Said enough already.

I imagine that red strip running down the return wall is for illumination.. My guess would be a glow.

It's also going to fall into the amazing night ride catagory If you ask me.

Chuck

Arguements, schmarguments...Can we please get back to topic. I don't care IF there was a person in the tunnel taking that picture....I would still be the one clicking the lens, because it's all about safety. How many of you have a safe driving record after 21 years of driving? (My hand is raised, too) Welp, if you know the rules & safely apply them, then risks and injury are reduced. Such is the case with the EMPLOYEE that shot the photo.

90 degree, or not 90 degree...that is the q....who the heck CARES!?!?! What a great looking chunk of wood in a parking lot! We have changed our PA plans for WI plans in June....that's how simple it is (see, 90 degrees didn't even matter). My body won't distinguish between 90 and 92 degrees in darkness, nor will it care while traveling at 60-70mph.

BTW: I have to give some props out.
*C-Playa-- Way too funny stuff above.

There's nothing like a woodie...
How about sound dampening? Any word? Any guesses on whether this this tunnel could be potentially deafening?

I'm bringing earplugs.

Bill

Bill, If your that concerned, Wear earplugs.

Chuck, who likes his Beast to Roar.

New Hades pics are up at rcdb as well as links to new pics in both Hades TR's now up.
In further news, The construction manager of the Hades Project is staying in the area to work on another project of some sort.

Im guessing it's little Amereka
but I don't know specifics.

The new radio and TV commercials are up at the Mt Olympus website. I don't have sound on my computer here but I did hear the radio commercial on they way to Media Day. "We'll call it Zeus 2!" LOL. There is also supposed to be some streaming video on the site, but that is not up yet. Maybe that will have some Hades footage when it gets posted.
Ooh! Ooh!

So the Little Dipper is finally going up?

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Anyone know Mt. Olympus operating schedule?

Can't find it on their website at all and I'm thinking of heading out there in the beginning of August and I want to get some night rides.

90 deg is 90 deg.

Mt Olympus is open 10-10 every day in August except for the 29th-31st which is 10-8. The schedule is in paper park map, but I don't think it is online. *** Edited 6/2/2005 7:26:21 PM UTC by RavenTTD***
I was curious about that too, CoasterGeorge.

I'm thinking about visiting Mt. Olympus this Sunday (June 5th), and was wondering what the operating hours were for that day as well. Their website is quite good, but it seems foolish that they don't have a schedule posted on there somewhere.

Hades looks fantastic. Hopefully the thunderstorms will hold off for a few hours so I can actually ride the thing.

Makes me wonder if Holiday World is considered to be "in the area?" :)

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

Thanks for the schedule info - now to wait for another SW Ding! airfare between Orlando and Chicago (or thereabouts...).
Mt Olympus Schedule:

June 3rd 10-6; June 4th 10-10; June 5-10th 10-6; June 11-August 28th 10-10; August 29-Sept 2nd 10-8; Sept 3-4th 10-10; Sept 5th 10-8

Mt Olympus' website now has hours up for all the parks. There is a link called "more hours" right under lodging.
