maybe the whole point of the new paint job is to make TTD's look like a longer ride. I can hear it standing in line now, "OMG! It goes over to the island too!"

He'll be here all week ladies and germs!

I kinda like the colors. It seems like it breathed life into a not-so-thrilling ride. As for Wildcat's new look (well a year old actually) now that looks intense. I really thought it did look better the other colors. (wildcat that is) Oh well, I guess new paint is better than no paint at all right guys? ;)

UGLY!

Iron Dragon with red and yellow !? Makes the ride in my opinion even duller. *** Edited 3/23/2004 10:14:40 PM UTC by KpExpress***

I think Gemini should be painted white.

I find it funny how everyone hates it without seeing it in person.

I see it everyday at work and think it actually looks great. It's an amusement park people.. fun.. colorfull..

People are afraid of change, Rob. It's just that the paint sharing that seems to go on at the CF parks needs to stop. :)

I agree with Rob 100% I saw it in person last week and I think it looks great.

Actually, I heard from some guy living in a van down by the river that McDonald's has secretly aquired the park and is slowly changing every ride to red and yellow.

I don't think it looks terrible, but the coordinating of colors with TTD does seem a bit odd.

"I'm lovin' it!" :)

Overall, it's the same coaster. Just different colors. ID doesn't look that bad. What else can you do? Start a petition to repaint ID back to the original colors?

It's more of a school bus/bulldozer orangish yellow than just Dragster yellow. If you look at this picture, you can see how it is different than Dragster's colors.

I will admit, it will take time to get used to. Do I hate it? Nope. It will take a lot more for me to dislike a coaster other than its colors, but it does look strange seeing it painted that way.

Just remember that if you remove the contractions, making it "I am loving it!", McDonalds' slogan is an anagram for "Ailing Vomit" (which pretty much captures my opinion of the new paint scheme).....

First the nasty pastels on my beloved Gemini's station, and now this? What's going on here?

Maybe on opening day, we can all stand outside ID's station and protest. We can go on strike from riding the coaster! lol Until an agreement is made to give ID a reasonable color scheme! ;)

Now after seeing that picture in Sean's post, I REALLY like it. I think it looks sleek and fast. I really don't care what the colors are, a new shiny paint job on just about ANY coaster makes it look brand new and gives it an exciting feel. (see also the pictures of B:TR at SFGADV)

LOL Sean, from that pic it looks exactly like Dragsters colors to me. :)

Yay, new paint is fun. Too bad it wasn't a completely different scheme.

Wonder now if they'll redo ID's station to make it match the new scheme? It'll take same getting use to it, but you'll eventually get over it. A coaster is a coaster :)

While the color is similar to Dragster, it is stunning in person. The new paint makes a big difference.

I was saving my opinion until I actually saw the paintjob in a decent photo, and after seeing it, I have to say that I like it. I remember last year when people were a little freaked out by Wildcat's new paintjob, but everytime I walked by it, I liked it even more. I hope Iron Dragon gives me the same effect because that area of the park is looking better and better with each passing season. It's really enticing for the kiddies!

It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.

I also see the difference in color between Dragster and ID. ID's yellow is more orange.

Joe,

From my computer monitor, the two colors are different. The same goes when I view the picture on my TV.

When you see it in person, I have a feeling you will be able to tell the difference.
